The “Remise” (37m2) was carefully and extensively restored in 2008. The first floor features a holiday apartment for two guests, decorated in sandy hues and appointed with timber floor boards. It offers a breathtaking view over the estate. It provides twin beds, seating-accommodation, a bathroom with floor heating, satellite television, radio and and a fully equipped kitchenette with a dishwasher. A 1,400 acre landscaped park with woods and manicured lawns surrounds the large white Manor House, built in 1860. Miles of footpaths lead through the park and are open to the public during daytime. In the shade of the lime trees, a private terrace invites to savour a glass of wine; a second cobbled terrace with furniture, barbecue grill, sunshade and a fire basket is available in the former orchard – for the cooler summer evenings. 2 Dogs are very welcome we charge in the Remise E 10.-per day/per dog. please contact us before you book, so we can talk about it. In the guest-garden ( more then 3000 qm ), the former moestuin (vegetable garden),the dogs can play, jump and run around off the lines. please, keep the garden clean, thank you Het Haveke's surroundings are ideal for relaxing and inspiring short breaks. Nature The village of Eefde neighbors the Gorssel ram, a vast natural landscape with wonderful possibilities for hiking and biking. Also the stork-village near the "ood plains of the temperamental Ijssel-River are worth more than one excursion. City The close-by more than 800 years old Hanseatic city of Zutphen offers everything for an eventful day, as does its sister-city Deventer. The magnificent old city center with its over 400 monuments, historic façades and courtyards invits for a stroll. Unique is the Librije, a beautifully preserved 16th century library of manuscripts on chain, built-on the the Walburg Church. Or discover the city by water with the so called “Fluisterboot" the whisper-boat "oating on the canals and the Berkel river. Zutphen offers a lively shopping district. Relax from delightful shopping in one of the typical coffee-shops such as the world-famous “De Pelikaan" or the “Volkshuis", a one hundred years old alcohol-free, serving as a training workshop for challenged people. Culture Eefde is located in the middle of the triangle of the cities of Zutphen – Deventer – Apeldoorn. Eefde is located in the region “Achterhoek" of the Dutch province Gelderland, approx. 35 km (22 miles) northe-east of Arnhem and 12 km (7,5 miles) south of Deventer. By train When travelling by train, you sohuld look for trains to the destination “Zutphen" via Arnhem when coming from the south or to “Deventer", when coming from the north. From Zutphen's train station ‘t Haveke Estate can be reached easily by taxi within 5 minutes. By plane From Schiphol When travelling by plane, you should "y to Amsterdam Schiphol. From there take a train to Apeldoorn or Deventer or via Arnhem to Zutphen. Depending on the connection, this journey will take between 1,5 and 2 hours. Detailed travel information are provided on the homepage of the Airport Amsterdam Schiphol From Weeze Airport Visitors flying with Ryanair arrive at Weeze Ariport, Germany. From here it is a hour and-a-half drive to the Haveke Estate. From Düsseldorf When flying to Düsseldorf, take a train to Zutphen via Arnhem. Depending on the connection, the journey will take between 2 and 3 hours. Information on trains are provided either by the German Railway “Deutsche Bahn" or via the homepage of Düsseldorf Airport. Het Haveke offers relaxation amidst the beautiful landscape gardens and woodlands. The area surrounding the Haveke offers plenty of possibilities and activities for the whole family!
