A lovely escape in the Heart of Cornwall. The ideal location to explore North & South Coasts, off-road Trails, Towns and a walk to the village A home from home with special touches for a special stay. Complete with bath robes for a cosy evening in. The super-comfy Emperor bed is so nice you won't want to leave. * Ample parking and free wifi * Your own outdoor seating by the Cottage and around the wild meadows here. * A large sofa bed (when booked for 3 guests max) A place to recharge your batteries, a haven of relaxation, or a base from which to explore. We want your holiday to be as perfect as possible. The barn has been hand crafted and designed by us. It has natural wood, wavy edged windowsills, quirky, bendy walls together with a few oddities here and there. Its unique blend of character is coupled with modern luxuries such as the underfloor heating and a walk in shower. Much of the country style furniture we have refurbished ourselves - Grandpa chest of drawers is over 200 years old with Grandma being a little younger. There's a story to tell about most things here. Outside there is ample seating in the courtyard or you could take a picnic or bbq into one of the 5 wild meadows and watch the sun disappear below the horizon and see the spectacular show of stars. No street lights to spoil your view... and it's an amazing view. For the nitty gritty we have - * An impressive Emperor size bed which can be divided into 2 singles - please ask for these upon booking as we need to arrange it before you arrive. * A Sofa bed which can be pulled out for when there are 3 of you - again please let us know you want this upon booking as extra linen needs to be arranged * A fully fitted kitchen with microwave, oven and hob * A walk in shower with heated towel rail. * Underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. * It's not suitable for children under 12 due to the nature of the accommodation * Your own seating and table by the cottage, perfect for breakfast or an evening bbq. Take your wine up to one of the benches and tables dotted around the fields - the perfect chill out after a busy day exploring. * We've add some extras to help you have a lovely experience. Bath robes to snuggle up in, shower gel, shampoo, washing up liquid, toilet rolls to get you started and numerous other things. You'll get 2 pillows each and all linen is included as is a set of towels for each person. * We follow the Visit England Good to Go Covid cleaning protocols, which means that we spend extra time sanitising the whole cottage as well as our normal cleaning routine. Up to 2 small dogs are welcome for £25 per dog per stay - they get their own bowls and welcome basket. We only accept dogs over 12 months and house trained. You'll have the whole barn to yourself. You have your own table and seating in the courtyard, just outside the cottage. Great for breakfast or teatime, after a busy day out. You can enjoy the 4 acres as often as you like, there are seating areas dotted about so you can be private. Let us know if you fancy a bbq as we have a portable one, solely for your use. We moved here in 2016. The buildings and land were in a very poor state and we have worked exceptionally hard improving and landscaping the property. We obtained permission to convert the stables, which were once 3 farm worker's cottages over 200 years old. Numerous builders either decided it was too time consuming or we needed to sell a left kidney to pay them. So we decided to tackle it ourselves. We are now delighted to welcome you to our ' little piece of paradise'. We know how important 'time out' is, so we want to make your stay as memorable as we can. We live on site in the main house and should you need anything, or have any problems then please let us know. We are located in a quiet area less than 1/2 a mile from the village of Lanner, which has a bakery with amazing pasties and cakes, a local shop for all your necessities, a petrol station, chip shop and of course the local, dog friendly pub at the bottom of our hill. - We are about 5 minutes drive to the historic Town of Redruth and a choice of supermarkets. - The nearest beach is only about 5 miles away. - Being fairly central in West Cornwall and not far from the A30, it's pretty easy to access most of the County from here, both North & South coasts and a choice of beaches. Falmouth is only 20 mins away with St Ives about 30 mins. There's plenty of places to visit and experience. A perfect base in the heart of Cornwall from which to explore, being just a short drive to both the North and South Coast beaches and quaint villages. We are just off the Tresavean Trail, a haven for walkers and cyclists which link to the huge network of off road trails throughout Cornwall. No car? - Redruth Train Station and a Coach stop is just 1.5 miles away - only a short taxi drive. Getting about on buses is also easy, the nearest bus stop being just 1/2 mile away. We provide loads of things to help you have a great stay, but here is a list of things you may wish to bring Wellies - the grass can be wet in the fields Beach towels - as we only provide towels for in the cottage Bbq charcoal - we have the bbq but you'll need the rest Slippers - we provide the robes but not the slippers. Dogs own, washed bed - they'll settle quicker A bucket full of smiles
