Our recently refurbished bungalow is within 5 minutes walk of Whitchurch Down and the vast expanse of Dartmoor. We are a 20-minute walk into Tavistock or 5 minutes by bus/car. There's a dog shower so should your best friend get muddy whilst on the moor, it is easy to get them clean! There is fast broadband available and smart TVs in the lounge and bedroom. There is a local pub and village shop within 5 minutes walk. The accommodation has undergone an extensive renovation and consists of a large airy lounge with french doors onto a patio area and comfortable sofa bed that sleeps 2. Large double bedroom with TV. Shower room with double vanity unit and toilet. Fully fitted kitchen with dish washer. Utility room with washing machine and recycling facilities. Mud room with dog shower, toilet and wash basin. Many of the electric sockets are fitted with USB charging points. The property is an annexe to the main house but you have the use of a private patio. Free on street parking is readily available or off street parking with prior arrangement! We will generally be available for the duration of your stay and willing and able to answer any questions you may have about the local area or places to visit, so please contact us should you have any queries. There is an excellent pub and church within 5 minutes walk of the accommodation and a small village shop about 2 minutes walk that provides all basic requirements. The accommodation is 1 mile from Tavistock that has several pubs and restaurants to suit most tastes. There are several golf courses within a half hour drive. There is a coarse fishing lake within 2 miles of the accommodation, day tickets available. There are excellent walks as soon as you leave the accommodation with the whole of Dartmoor on your doorstep. Princetown is 5 miles away and Plymouth is 15 miles away. There are bus services into Tavistock and Plymouth. We are only 12 miles from the Cornish border so we are ideally situated for forays over the border and visiting the beautiful coast that Cornwall is famous for.
