Stone cottage, peaceful location close to village

The cottage at Les Tachats is a beautiful old stone farmhouse which is located in a peaceful valley with surrounding views of the countryside and the Chateau at Hautefort. The complex comprises three Gites with private terrraces and swimming pool. Les Tachats is located within easy reach of the many attractions in the Dordogne and is jut a short walk of local bars, restaurants, supermarket, etc. The cottage comprises a lounge area with large Perigourdine style fireplace and woodburning stove, English free view digital TV and sofa bed. The main bedroom is on the mezzanine level and has a double bed and en-suite WC and roll top bath. The second bedroom has bunk beds and a fitted shower cubicle. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There are dining areas both inside and on a covered floral terrace. Cot and high chair can be supplied on request. The cottage is suitable for a maximum of 4 adults or 2 adults with up to 4 children. At Les Tachats our guests can enjoy the 9metre x 5metre pool and a childrens paddling pool with a surrounding terrace which is fully fenced for the safety of children. There is also a childrens play area with swings, slides and a large trampoline. The property is surrounded by a 2 Acre floral landscaped Garden. We live on site in and are available to assist our guests should it be required. We do however endeavour to remain at a discreet distance in order that our guests feel as relaxed as possible. The location of Les Tachats is exceptional. It benefits from a calm countryside location, but is on the edge of Hautefort so walking to the various bars / restaurants is entirely possible. We benefit from being close to lakes and beaches and superb chateau, but are also well placed to visit the many 'must see attractions such as Sarlat, Lascaux, Brantome and the St Emillion vineyards. The surrounding countryside is to be recommended for walking, but on trips slightly further afield, drivers will find the quiet roads a pleasure to drive. Please no that on Sunday 2nd September 2018 the gardens will be open for charity as in the UK 'yellow book' scheme.
