The kitchen has all you need to prepare meals at home, including a fridge, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, and other cooking essentials like pots, pans, and utensils. We are available by phone from 8 am to 8 pm if you have any questions during your stay. We would love it if you could message us when you have arrived safely and also a message on leaving is appreciated so we can clean as early as possible for our next guests. Please please let me know as soon as you can if there are any issues at all so I have a chance to take the appropriate action to ensure your stay is it should be - totally stress-free and relaxing!! As I am not in the area I am unable to personally check the house before your arrival - I am heavily reliant on my housekeeper and I need to know as soon as possible if you and therefore me have been let down in any way by the presentation of The Rustic Cottage. The cafes, galleries, restaurants, and sights of Hobart are just a 35-minute drive away. Take a ferry to MONA, which features a winery onsite, or stroll around Salamanca Market, held on Saturdays, to stock up on gourmet products and local arts and crafts. 25 minutes drive northeast will bring you to the historic village of Richmond, featuring more than 50 Georgian buildings and the oldest gaol in Australia. Well worth the trip for anyone interested in early Australian history, or as a relaxing day out. The World Heritage-listed Port Arthur site is a 45-minute drive south of Carlton. If you're feeling adventurous, a little further down the road you'll find Three Capes Track, a multi-day walking track that takes in spectacular views of Cape Pillar, Cape Hauy, and Cape Raoul. Parking: There is enough space along the driveway to park for four cars. Airport: Only 30 mins by car Please read and respect the house rules. This is very much appreciated, thank you! Before your arrival, we will also share a house guide that contains instructions on how to access the property, use certain appliances, and anything else you may need to know. Please note the only source of heating is a wood heater. We will provide full instructions in the guest guide and materials needed to light it.
