Cedar Hideaway - Guest Cottage in Harrison

Watch the wildlife in the river, walk to the beach for a swim & kick back in the hot tub next to the fire pit. Enjoy a picnic under our giant 22ft round old growth cedar tree. Canoe or Kayak down the Miami river or take a hike up the " Harrison Grind" Relax in your own private cottage & hot tub ! The entire property is yours to enjoy. This cottage is one of the original summer cottages in Harrison Hot Springs.Built in 1949 we are located on the Miami river and a short walk to the lakefront. 9 steps up to the front door and into our farmhouse style mud room. This room is bright and sunny and the perfect place to sit in the window and enjoy the view. The dining area has a large table with 3 chairs and a bench seat. It is comfortable for 5 people. The kitchen is adjacent and has plenty of room for 2 people to cook up a delicious meal. The bedroom features a queen sized bed and picture windows facing the river. Open the windows and listen to the birds or keep it cool with the AC unit. The living room/2nd bedroom also faces the river and features picture windows, a couch and a comfy queen sized sofa bed. There is also a TV with many HDMI adapters to connect your laptop/phone & devices, paired with a Bose speaker featuring bluetooth & AUX in, your media will come to life. This room has a door which makes the space 100% private when needed. Our bathroom has a glass shower stall and single sink vanity. The shower features an oversized shower head with 3 settings and is quite inviting. Our basement area is not included in the rental. It is used for storage only. Nobody will be in this space during your stay. We have a single lane gravel driveway which can easily accommodate 2 vehicles. There are also 2 public street parking spots directly in front of the cottage. The Cottage is your private getaway. We are available within 24hrs should their be an issue of any kind. Harrison is a beautiful resort town on the lake. Our cottage is centrally located in the heart of the village beside the Old Settler Pub & Liquor Store & across from Hot Springs RV park. It is a seasonal tourist area and depending on time of year can be quiet or lively. We are steps to the restaurants, shops, public tennis courts, parks, kayak launch, sandy beaches, water park, boat rentals, bike rentals, mini donuts, poutine and everything else Harrison has to offer. We have plenty of parking for your vehicles in our driveway. We are walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Bikes are a convenient way to explore town quickly once you arrive.Pay parking is in effect along the waterfront and village centre areas.
