Foxglove is a spacious 2 bedroom holiday home with fully equipped kitchen, TV, WiFi, outside space, outside sitting area, fire pit and dedicated parking. Central heating. Convenient location - half way between the South of England and Scotland and 20 min from M6. 2 miles from town of Congleton. Foxglove is a spacious 2 bedroom chalet in a rural location on Cheshire/Staffs border. It sits in a peaceful position tucked away on the side of a hill with views over green pastures and Congleton Edge. There are 2 bedrooms - a double bedroom with en-suite and a twin bedroom. There is a separate bathroom with a shower and a WC, equipped kitchen (full size gas cooker, full size fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, kitchen utensils, crockery), TV with Freeview, gas fire and WiFi. Foxglove comes with an outside terrace with table and chairs, cast iron fire pit and outdoor space. Central heating and double glazing. Duvets, pillows, bed linen and guest size towels are provided. It is not totally secluded, our other Airbnb chalet is about 50 meters away. If you are looking for a complete isolation, check out our Top Hill chalet. Please note that there is WiFi and the speeds are good, but is a not a broadband connection! It works great for regular web browsing, emails, social media etc etc, but it is not suitable for gaming or heavy downloads (like films etc). Foxglove is completely self-contained and has a dedicated parking area. Always available by text if required. Very rural location, but only minutes away from local amenities. Local golf course (9 holes - visitors welcome) neighbours the farm. Local amenities are 2 miles away in Congleton, a thriving market town. Traditional English pub, serving food is 800 yards away. Many historical attractions, country walks and trails nearby. Within walking distance are Macclesfield canal, presently used for narrow boats and the Cloud, the main local landmark, - a high outcrop of rocks overlooking the Cheshire Plain, which can be conquered at a leisurely pace in 40 minutes. Also, close by are several country houses to visit, incl.Biddulph Grange (National Trust – 2 miles), Little Moreton Hall (National Trust 3 miles), Gawsworth Hall and Capesthorne Hall (both privately owned Grand Country Houses - 6 miles) and the Tatton Park (NT) is a 30 minute drive. Another famous landmark, well worth visiting, is Jodrell Bank Observatory (8 miles)- you will be able to see it from the site. The Peak District National Park is 8 miles away. The town of Leek for antiques hunting and the Rudyard Lake for boating, fishing, steam railway are both 6 miles. Excellent fishing lakes nearby. It is best to have a car or a bicycle. Parking space is provided and is next to the accommodation. Dogs by prior permission only due to cattle grazing nearby. Please contact us first if you want to bring your pet, before making a booking. There is an extra charge of £15 dog charge (per stay and no more than 2 dogs simultaneously), excluding service dogs and cats.
