Adelaide foothills, 2 bedroom private suite

Our home is in a safe, beautiful leafy foothills suburb, 7 kms or 15 minutes' drive to the city and 5 minutes' walk to the University of Adelaide's Waite Research Precinct and the CSIRO. The spacious, light-filled upstairs suite is part of our family home. It has a living room with a kitchenette, two separate bedrooms with views to the garden and the hills. Your private bathroom is downstairs. The self-contained suite is ideal for couples, friends, small families, solo and business travellers. Whether you are visiting Adelaide for pleasure, to visit family or for a festival, we offer you attractive and convenient accommodation. Designed for the independent guest, the three-roomed private suite is clean, spacious, quiet and fully air conditioned. Your suite is upstairs at the rear of the house. It consists of a living room with a kitchenette and two bedrooms. The kitchenette has a microwave oven and fridge, a sink with filtered water, a kettle and toaster. It is suitable for preparing breakfast or snacks but does not have a stove top or oven for cooking meals. Breakfast provisions include milk, yoghurt, cereals, home-made muesli, fresh fruit, fruit juice, bread, jams and butter. There is a selection of teas and fresh ground coffee. The two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a double bed, have large south-facing picture windows with views to the back garden, the adjoining park and the hills beyond. The rooms have ducted reverse cycle heating and cooling. A cot that meets Australian standards is available if required. A breakfast table, a coffee table, a couch and lounge chairs make this a quiet, comfortable area in which to relax or catch up on work. Your own bathroom is downstairs, affording privacy from the suite, and is for your sole use. Access to the house is through a shared back door. A living area downstairs has a TV which can be used by mutual arrangement and you can use our laundry, dryer and washing line. You are welcome to use the back garden which has access to a park with play equipment for children. There is free parking on the street for your car. We live in the front of the house and will welcome you and show you the accommodation and surrounds. We respect your privacy but we are always available to answer questions or suggest activities and places to visit. We live in a small , quiet, safe suburb in the Adelaide foothills, close to the South Eastern Freeway. The Waite Research Precinct and the CSIRO are a short walk away and there is easy access to local walking trails in the hills which have spectacular views of the city. There are numerous restaurants, cafes and pubs within a 5 - 10 minute drive. You will hear and see plenty of bird life including kookaburras, magpies, cockatoos and parrots and from time to time a koala or two. You can access a park though the gate at the rear of the garden where there is play equipment that is suitable for small children. You have a choice of three bus routes - two go to the city and the other is a ring route - or it is just a 10-15 minute drive to the city. Adelaide is often called the 10 minute city - here, you are are 10 minutes from national parks, the Adelaide Hills, shopping centres, excellent public swimming pools, cinema complexes, numerous pubs and restaurants and suburban shopping strips such as Unley Road, King William Road and Norwood Parade. Adelaide airport is about 20-30 minutes by car/taxi/Uber, Keswick train terminal is about 15-20 minutes by car/taxi/Uber. All eligible guests must be fully vaccinated for CoVID-19. Our home is not appropriate to use for quarantine purposes because we live in the house and there are shared spaces. Please do not burn incense or candles inside. There is no stove top or oven and so there is no provision for cooking. We ask that you respect the space and keep it clean and tidy.
