This first floor apartment sleeps five and dogs are welcome in the kitchen and living room only. The apartment is beautifully decorated, well-equipped and centrally heated. The apartment has only recently been completely refurbished with brand new kitchen and bathrooms and redecorated throughout to a very high standard. The interior design combines a sumptuous palette of peacock blue, deep navy and glorious gold in an array of luxurious velvets, damask and faux fur textures and features the artwork local artists. The apartment is above the much loved Granny Dowbekin's Tearoom so there will be someone on hand during the day. Ullswater is the second largest lake at 7½ miles long, the lake offers a variety of water-based activities from canoeing, paddle boarding, sailing and windsurfing to a leisure cruise on one of the famous steamers. Many walks start in the Ullswater valley from the trek up to Helvellyn to low level strolls along the shoreline. The many places to visit nearby include Lowther castle, Askham Hall, Rheged and the waterfalls at Aira Force. The bustling town of Penrith is only a 10 minute drive away providing a range of interesting independent shops, restaurants and supermarkets.
