Lovingly converted barn in a gorgeous courtyard setting perfect for families or groups of friends, we have kept as many of the original features as possible. Both bedrooms have ensuite showers, the kitchen has everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is plenty of outside space, and you are welcome to make use of our tennis court , bicycles can be provided so you can explore the local area. The Dairy is in a lovely courtyard along with The Potting Shed. The main farmhouse is across the courtyard so you are private and but we are here should you require anything. The Dairy is a spacious luxury barn conversion, ideal for couples and families. We have enjoyed finding antique and vintage furniture from local auction houses to give a homely feel. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, with dishwasher, induction hob and fan oven.. Wood burning stove ideal for cosy nights in, there is also Smart TV with Bluetooth soundbar. Having rented many holiday lets over the years I know what is needed to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. We can provide additional fridge and freezer space for longer stays, please ask. A travel cot is also available please ask. The local area has much to offer including Artisan courses in stone carving, metal work and pottery. Perfectly situated for bird watching on the Avalon Marches famous for its Starling murmurations. The Jurassic Coast is only 45 mins away, wonderful walking whatever time of year, Bridport Market on a Saturday is excellent and can be combined with a coastal walk. The immediate area has a wealth of NT properties within 20mins, Montacute, Barrington Court, Muchelney Abbey, Lytes Cary. East Lambrook Manor Gardens created by the famous Margery Fish is just 5mins away. (Website hidden by Airbnb) There are numerous excellent pubs in the local area Well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. There is an all weather tennis court which can be booked in advance and also bicycles for your use. There is a large pretty courtyard directly outside The Dairy with table and chairs for al fresco dining. There is a gas BBQ for guests to use. We live in the farmhouse which is on the other side of the courtyard, we are available to help you enjoy your visit. Coat is a beautiful conservation village which is situated just 3 miles from the A303. Somerset is a wonderful county with glorious unspoilt countryside, numerous National Trust properties, great walking, excellent pubs and restaurants, and many local artisan courses. The local area is known for its cider orchards and there are two cider distilleries within 5 miles of us, Somerset Cider Brandy - (Website hidden by Airbnb) and Harry’s - (Website hidden by Airbnb) There are lots of good local pubs/restaurants some of which I have listed below. Bridport has an excellent Saturday market. Frome has a wonderful brocante/artisan food market on the first Sunday of each month. Wells has a great Saturday market and the Bishops Palace Gardens are lovely. The village of Martock (1.5 miles) has an excellent butchers, farm shop, bakers together with a Co-op for essentials and a post office. It has a good Farmers market on the second Saturday of each month. There is also a Doctors Surgery and Dentists. South Petherton (3.5 miles) is a charming village, with butcher, baker, greengrocer, wine merchant and cafe, several good gift shop, Co-op and an excellent restaurant - Holm. The Trading Post - (Website hidden by Airbnb) - in Lopenhead (5 miles) is an award winning Farm Shop and Deli with Cafe as well, definitely worth a visit. Further afield Langport, Crewkerne, Yeovil and Sherborne have a large selection of shops and supermarkets. A car is needed to get around, however we are 30mins from both Castle Cary and Yeovil Junction stations, both of which have taxi ranks The Dairy shares the old farmyard of Greystone House with The Potting Shed, which may have guests as well.
