Situated in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood in the heart of Santiniketan, minutes from the famous Deer Park and noble prize winner Dr. Amartya Sen's house, our home offers the comfort of modern amenities as well as the charm of a rustic getaway amidst nature. Our two-storied, 3 BHK bungalow is the perfect place for enjoying a peaceful yet fun-filled stay with family and friends where guests can sip their morning tea on the porch by our beautiful little lawn or can enjoy evening snacks in the spacious patio. Our lovely terrace, with stunning views of the sunrise and sunset, is the perfect spot for lazing with your favourite book or doing some yoga and meditation to bust that city-life stress. The greenery all around, the song of birds and bathing in the sunshine makes for the most rejuvenating, therapeutic and relaxing vacation. *Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner available at an extra charge. At our home, you also have the luxury of your own personal toto driven by our caretaker and he can take you for sightseeing whenever you need !(charges extra) There is a rickshaw stand nearby too. Our home is close to both train stations, distance from Prantik station is 10-20 mins and distance from Bolpur station is 15-25 mins, depending on traffic. Distance on foot from famous attractions: Deer Park - less than 7 mins to the entrance of the park Visva Bharati University (founded by Tagore) - 15 mins Uttarayan (Tagore’s Museum) – 15 mins Grocery Market - 20 mins Poush Mela Ground - 25 mins Poush Mela, is one of the most famous cultural, winter carnivals of Bengal and is a must visit at least once in your life ! There are lots of restaurants/food joints in the vicinity. Our cozy home offers 3 bedrooms, two single beds (which have been joined to make one double bed as per photos) in each room with attached bathrooms (fitted with geysers). The Master bedroom (also called the terrace room) is located on the 1st floor with an attached balcony and opening into a nice, big terrace attached to it. The other two bedrooms are located on the ground floor out of which one room has an attached open balcony leading to the backyard. All windows are fitted with mosquito nets, so they can be kept open if needed to enjoy the fresh breeze. We also have extra folding bed/mattress available on request. The space also has a living cum dining area and a kitchen with cooking facility (gas stove, refrigerator, water purifier, toaster, microwave and all necessary utensils). NOTE: ** We are unfortunately unable to host any foreign guests currently due to certain issues and restrictions. Hope to resolve this really soon. Thank you ! Once you book, you will get the entire bungalow to yourself, irrespective of the number of guests. Please select the correct number of guests before booking, since arrangements will be made accordingly. *There are additional charges for every guest after 2 guests. So the total price on Airbnb varies depending on the number of guests selected. Our bungalow has no air conditioning The twin beds when joined may be good enough for a family of 3. Plus, guests can also use the extra folding bed/mattress if required. If you are more than 11 guests, kindly message me for details. We have a caretaker who stays with his family in an outhouse in the backyard and are responsible for maintaining the property and looking after our valued guests at all times. They can also cook delicious Bengali food for you for an extra charge. As an added benefit, he also owns a Toto (battery operated transport) unique to Santiniketan, in which he can drive you around for sightseeing or otherwise (on chargeable basis). Station pick up and drop facility by Toto is also available (on nominal chargeable basis). He can also help you rent a car. Though we live in Kolkata, we are just a phone call or an email away and you can reach us any time if needed. All of us will try and make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Our home is in a green, almost pollution free neighbourhood, close to all the main attractions. We are located very near to the deer park compound. Most people either walk or use totos, cycles and bikes to move around.
