The Old Church of Urquhart is a comfortable conversion on top of its own hillock inmidst Malt Whisky Country, close to the sea at the Moray Firth & the Grampian Highlands. ...this is one of 3 totally different accommodation arrangements... This is the perfect place from which to explore the 'Best of Bonnie Scotland'! Our private home we run as a B&B with 3 suites, all at ground floor; a guest lounge might be available but is not guaranteed. You enjoy the flexibility to have a Continental Breakfast at your own leisure in your bedroom with everything set up for you including tea/coffee, fruits, cereals & muesli, yoghurt, croissants or such, jam/marmalade etc. NETFLIX & Co. are for you to enjoy at the TV in your bedroom! This is our small & cosy SUITE en suite at ground floor (double day bed with table & chairs for your breakfast as well as a bright en suite with shower) perfect for the SINGLE or the YOUNG COUPLE; ideally combined with one of the other suites available! Distinctly Different is not only the building and its position...enjoy 2 acres of garden grounds and relax in this peaceful place! Guests are on their own at ground floor and might have a guest lounge to share as well as big lawns and a wee forest outside to enjoy... This is a typical B&B, a private home open for guests ... our private home we share with our guests ... as we are living on site, we are happy to offer any help as well with your daily itinerary with plenty insider ideas. This is Malt Whisky Country with around 70 distilleries on your doorstep but as well castles, stone circles, the dolphins of the Moray Firth and so much more to explore! We are happy to arrange boat trips, bicycles to rent...we do as well WEDDINGS, renewal of vows, blessings! Private car parking in front of church. Closest airports are Inverness and Aberdeen. Elgin has a railway station of which we are happy to collect guests by arrangement on their day of arrival and departure, also there is a regular bus service into the village of Urquhart via the the neighbored village of Lhanbryde.
