Reputedly the oldest house in the Hunter Valley established in 1822 and refreshed for a luxury experience. Old Duninald is a tranquil place to just relax on the verandah, take a walk in the 25 acres of woodland, sit in the summer house & explore our beautiful area. Pay 2 nights stay 3. Old Duninald is a luxurious cottage nestled in the Hunter Valley, near Paterson featuring 3 bedrooms with 3 living spaces, a lounge dining room, and a sunroom with spacious verandas. Your group will have space to come together or spread out. Old Duninald also features a large modern kitchen and two newly renovated bathrooms. The house has a lounge dining room, with the lounge area configured around a wood burner - great for winter. The sun room has great couches for chilling out, but also a cedar table to sit around & play games - cards & scrabble provided. There is a BBQ on the verandah to dine outside. There is also a BBQ in the summer house by the billabong. Ideally located and appointed for group visits to weddings, events, festivals or just getting away from it all. We will meet you, and answer any questions. Unless you need us we will give you privacy. I am always available on my mobile and happy to help. Old Duninald is very close to a number of wedding venues: Tocal, Mindaribba, Albion Farm, Woodville. It is located about 20 minutes away from Dungog in one direction, Maitland in another & Morpeth in another. Old Duninald is a great place to base yourself to explore the Lower Hunter. Supplies are available in Paterson. It is the 20 minute radius to Morpeth, Maitland & the very exciting Dungog common. Then further excursions it is an hour to the hunter valley vineyards to the West, Newcastle to the South East & Port Stephens to the East. Barrington Tops to the North is further, butvstill doable for a days excursion. You will need to get your car to arrive...but bring your supplies & not get into your car for the rest of the weekend as you relax in the house & wood. If you do need to go out you will need your car, there is no public transport.
