Our cosy two double bedroom cottage has mountain views from every room and is only a 15 min drive to the Watkins Path to hike up Snowdon, high speed wifi, 50’’ smart TV, books & games to relax in front of the fire after a day out on the mountains or beaches. Nestled in a quiet hillside hamlet with beautiful views. Well equipped kitchen with dining area, patio area with picnic table, separate lounge with snuggly sofas. We live locally, love to hike, run and MTB so happy to help plan adventures. Our cottage is a traditional Welsh stone cottage located at the end of a slate path - it is very quiet and private as it is not located streetside. It has beautiful uninterrupted views towards the Rhinog mountain range. Their is a large wooden picnic table on the slate patio to enjoy outdoor meals and star gaze later in the evening. There are two cosy double bedrooms upstairs where the bathroom is located. Downstairs the kitchen has a dining area and the lounge is separate and has comfy sofas with a wood burner to relax and enjoy cosy evening in front of the fire. Every room has views towards the Rhinog Mountain range. The cottage is stocked with lots of books, games, dvds and magazines to relax and enjoy. The cottage benefits from high speed internet and a 50'' smart TV so you can log onto your Netflix or Amazon and enjoy films and box sets in front of the fire. You are staying in Snowdonia National Park and the activities locally are varied and endless. I am a trained Mountain Leader and am on hand to recommend hikes for all levels of experience and ages. Our cottage is accessed down a private slate pathway so can be tricky to find but we live locally so are on hand to help and we provide clear instructions. There is parking on the lane (1 minute walk from the cottage) and there is also a large free car park in the centre of our village. We live locally so are happy to welcome guests and help recommend hikes, beaches, cafes, restaurants, pubs and all our local favourites. The quiet little hillside hamlet of Prenteg is a great base for exploring Snowdonia. Watkins path to hike Snowdon - 15 mins drive. The Tremadog climbing walls - 3 mins drive. 'Welsh Matterhorn' - Cnicht - 10 mins drive. Pretty village of Beddgelert - 10 mins drive. Black Rock sands beach - 20 mins drive. Harlech Castle - 20 mins drive. The Aberdundant hall pub/restaurant is a few minutes walk away and all the supermarkets (tesco, Lidl, Aldi) shops and cafes of Porthmadog is an easy 5 mins drive - so you have the best of both worlds. Fantastic community shop/cafe in Garreg Llanfrothen - 5 mins drive for great breakfasts and homemade sourdough pizzas or the famous 'Chippy Dre' in Tremadog for fish and chips! - 3 mins drive. There is free parking on the street close to the house or a free car park in the centre of the village
