Porto Natura Guesthouse is located within a beautiful urban farm, next to Porto center, offering to its guests a relaxed and marvelous stay in the middle of nature. As a guest house (w/ three rooms w/ private bathroom for guests) the booking and the announced price is per room, for two people. All guests have access to a equipped kitchen, terraces, gardens and swimming pool. There is a train station at 3min walking distance with direct trains to the historic center of Porto. Within our Guesthouse you'll be in the middle of the nature, while you're at the gates of Porto! The house itself is situated inside a little urban farm, with a beautiful and wild biodiversity. Loose yourself in our gardens, among the hammock, the pool and the solarium. Have a walk and say hello to our friendly horses or lay down on the grass with your favorite book, while listening to the magical birdsong. The historic and eclectic house has three spacious and comfortable rooms with private bathroom within the room. Rooms are equipped with bedsheets, towels and pool towels. Two rooms have terraces with direct access to the gardens. Outside there is a fully equipped traditional kitchen for the exclusive use of guests with washing machine, stove, oven, fridge, microwave, toaster, capsule coffee machine (Nescafe, Dolce Gusto) and kettle. Terraces, gardens and solarium are equipped with sun loungers, hammock, swing, tables and chairs and sofas to create different environments and make the most of stay outside. The pool is deep and good for swim and next to it there are sun loungers, parasol and sofas. While being our guest, we "do everything to let you feel at home"! We open you the doors of our family house to share with you this very unique and special place. Rooms and bathrooms are totally private, as well as the kitchen, of exclusive use of guests. Hosts live in one side of the house (so some spaces are reserved) and may share the outside areas, always preserving the privacy of guests. The house and property itself is prepared to give everyone their own privacy as it has different nooks and entrances. As our guests say "although you share a house with them you feel very much separate and like you have your own space!", "the owners are kind, calm and unobstructive, yet available to help whenever needed". And if it pleases us both, let's share some stories on a summer night with the company of a delicious Porto wine! During your stay you may count with our help to give you advices and indications taking into account your personal preferences and interests. We provide you maps, public transports timetables, interesting points info., etc. If you have a question or doubt, or want to share a good story with us, call for us that we are glad to spend a good time with you! The guesthouse is situated in a quiet and safe residential area. In the neighborhood you can find a pharmacy, supermarkets, coffees, restaurants (there is a traditional restaurant that delivers for free) and public transports, all within 10min walking. Within your stay, you may ride the horses and enjoy the neat air from the countryside with a relaxing ecological walk, alongside the “Paleozoic Route” (Sítio Rede Natura 2000). Following this path, you will end up in the middle-aged village named “Couce” (Aldeia de Portugal), where you can experience a real time flashback. Meanwhile, you can travel over the Roman’s empire legacy, which intensively exploited this Gold enriched soil. The mines still remain as a tourist open landmark, and it’s possible to visit them in a safe and guided tour. These places are in the surroundings. Porto Natura Guesthouse is situated inside a triangle constituted by three admirable places - Douro, Porto and Guimarães – World Heritage. Thus, if you want to dive into the city bustle, you can visit the magnific Oporto city, classified as World Heritage Site. Within a 3 minutes walking distance, you can take the train and get there in 20 minutes. Otherwise, if you have a car, you will be there in about 10 minutes. In Oporto, you will get lost with all the charming offers, such as the wine, the restaurants and its delicious food, the beautiful local shops, the landscape, the monumental historic places, the culture activities and lively nightlife, but most of all, the conviviality of its people! After this journey, you can return to the confort of our guesthouse! From Sá Carneiro Airport: - By bus: Bus nº 604 (Aeroporto - Hospital São João) + Bus nº 705 (Hospital de São João - Valongo). - By metro and train (06.00h - 01.00h): Metro line E (Aeroporto - Estação de Campanhã) + Train (Estação de Campanhã - Linha do Douro/Suzão). When you leave the public transport, you'll be at a 3 min walking distance from our Guesthouse. - By car/taxi: highway A4 (Vila Real direction) + exit Valongo. - Finally, we can provide you a transfer from and to the airport (free for stays over than three nigths). From Porto center: - By train (20min) (06.25h - 00.40h): line Caíde or Penafiel - exit Suzão; - By bus (28min): 7M (01.00h - 05.00h, bus stop Aliados) or 94 (06.00h - 00.00h, bus stop Bolhão in Alexandre Braga street); - By car (15min): VCI - A3 (Braga direction) - A4 (Vila Real direction)- exit Valongo. The guesthouse is located 2km from the highway exit, with access to the different regions of the country. The train station is at a 3 minutes walking distance. We are able to provide you some extra services to make the most of your time here: - Shuttle car from 'Sá Carneiro Airport' to 'Porto Natura Guesthouse' and vice-versa (free for stays longer than 3 nights). - A delicious and rich breakfast. - Babysitting. - Animal accommodation. - Horse riding - lessons or free riding. - Guided tours and any other service you may need. All these services have an additional cost and must be requested at the time of booking.
