Enjoy a stay in a traditional 150 year-old French farm house, complete with exposed stone, beams and wood stoves. Lots of atmosphere and a warm welcome assured. We are 40 minutes north of Limoges, just off the A20, in the Creuse, Limousin region. The B&B is a typical French farmhouse with lots of original features. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the room, as well as a DVD player. We have plenty of DVDs available for you to borrow. The tariff includes a generous Continental breakfast. This is a large, private room with an ensuite bathroom (shower, basin and toilet) and overlooks the Creuse countryside. It has one double bed and a sofa/futon, and can accommodate up to 3 people. Children under 1 are free and a cot can be supplied for 5€ (payable on site), regardless of the length of stay. You will have access to the garden where you can relax with a book and a glass of wine, or even a barbecue. We have all the necessary equipment so you just need to supply the food and drink. There is also a games/relaxation room in the attic with a table tennis table, gym equipment, and various board games. We live on site and are available to help you get the most of your stay. Please ask us for information about walking/cycling or other activities in the area. We are in the Creuse department of north Limousin, close to the border with the Indre and Haute Vienne departments. The area is renowned for its natural beauty and if you're keen on walking, cycling or even just appreciating the greenery, this is the place for you. There are lakes to walk around, woodlands to stroll through and prehistoric standing stones and dolmens to admire, not to mention the pretty villages, medieval towns and beautiful castles. The B&B is in a small hamlet of a dozen houses, so it's quiet. However, we're only 10 minutes' drive from the nearest big town with shops, banks, a Saturday market and supermarkets. We're also only 2 minutes from Fursac where there are a couple of cafes and restaurants, an amazing bakery and a small supermarket. Ideally, a car is the best way to get around but if you're a pilgrim/walker, we'd be happy to pick you up from Fursac, the nearest town. Please request this when booking. Limoges airport and train station are just 35 minutes away by car and the nearest train station to us is La Souterraine, just 10 minutes away. We have a gentle though excitable greyhound who loves cuddles!
