Tranquil Villa in Crete Mountains with pool

Come and stay in our lovely Villa Galini, which sleeps six in a beautiful scenic landscape, with mountain views, in the western region of Crete. The villa is part of the Souri village complex of only 17 other Villa's and ideal for families, and Hiking groups alike, with a large shared swimming pool, and it's own private parking for your convenience. The old village of Souri is only a ten minute drive by car from the resort of Georgioupolis and it's lovely clean beaches. The villa is part of the Souri village complex of only 17 other Villa's and is ideal for couples and families looking for 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms in a quiet and relaxed, stunning landscape of Crete. The sunny comfortable Villa is about 77m2 and is spacious and airy with a very modern feel. it is full of amenities and the best choice for families, small group's and couples. On Entering in the house you can see the lounge while on your right is the fully equipped open plan kitchen and dinning area. This has the oven, a large fridge/freezer and dishwasher with all the necessary items needed to cook any kind of food. The lounge has a rattan sofa and chairs, a coffee table, satellite TV,DVD, CD player. Doors open to the covered patio area where there is a table and chairs, also sunbeds to relax in and enjoy your privacy outdoor's and in a beautiful landscape, with mountain and sea views, surrounded by the countryside. Going down the small step split level hall way you find 2 double bedrooms,a double bed in one and a twin beds in the other, separated by a light and airy shower room. Next to the second bedroom is the full bathroom with shower, and a washing machines available to use. All the room's are fully air conditioned, & heated should you wish to go in the winter months. mosquito screens to all door's, and shutter's to keep rooms cool. Towels and bed linen are also provided. A cot is also available if needed. Free WiFi available throughout the villa. The villa is non-Smoking, but you are welcome to use the outside space, such as the the back patio area. With lovely clean beaches only a ten minute drive by car away in Georgioupolis, or for the more adventurous amongst you, mountain bike to and from the local villages, like Litstrada & Vamos, and where you can find locally produced Greek cheeses and yogurt, a Pizza restaurant, Bar's and a British grocery store, Our Villa has it's own private parking space directly in front, making access to the property easy. The kitchen has a Family size fridge freezer, Electric oven and dishwasher, and is is fully equipped if you wish to cook at home and eat al-fresco on the beautiful veranda outside. Alternatively drive down to the small fishing town of Georgioupolis (pronounced YOYOPOLY) to eat or drink in many of there fantastic restaurants and bars, like 'Valentino' and 'Sunshine Cafe' There is also evening entertainment and Large communal Pool which serves food and drinks all day in the centre of Georgioupolis. After leaving the airport on your way to Souri Village resort, it is advisable to stop off and pick up some basic supply's such as Milk, Bread, fruit, Water (Wine & Beer) if your are so inclined! as the resort does not have a shop within walking distance, (although for guests staying 7 nights or longer a small welcome basket of basic essentials will be provided by the resort caretakers FREE of charge) As mentioned above, the communal pool (160 m2) with the outdoor large communal BBQ area is at your disposal though out your stay. If however you wish to have a private BBQ, a small one sit's waiting on your terrace. So you can really enjoy this beautiful patio and have unforgettable lunch/dinner/breakfast. In the pool area there is available free- sunbeds, shower, Lounger's, sun umbrella's, tables & chairs. If there is anything you need to help make your stay easier just let us know. We can provide you with information regarding any extra service you may need, like renting a car, or transfer to and from the airport's. Check in time is from 3pm on wards, and Checking out is 12 noon, though we can be flexible on these times, as long as you let us know in advance. This is one of the best place's in all of Crete, if you really love nature and want to enjoy the magic quiet landscape of this amazing island. Send me a message and I'll always respond within the day. The complex has a large shared pool which lights up every evening, making evening time swimming truly magical until 7 pm. NOTE: NO Glass or sharp objects allowed around the Poole area, however plastic cups are available in kitchen cupboards. The Villa has it's own BBQ and there is also an outdoor communal BBQ. There are resident caretakers on site, who can take care of any issues in the villa which may arise on our behalf. Souri Village offers you a truly rural idyll close to fantastic Greek villages, towns and beaches. In West Crete you find beautiful Souri Village in a scenic landscape, only a few kilometers from several great beaches. In Souri Village, you can enjoy green surroundings in a quiet rural environment, but the surrounding area is also well worth exploring. Less than 2 kilometers from Souri Village is the little village of Litsarda with a shop, cafe and pizzeria/ taverna. A little further down the road, and you will find the town of Vamos with excellent amenities, tavernas, cafes, bars, supermarkets, bakery, bank / cash machine etc.). Vamos also offers cultural events such as sports and music events all year round in calm surroundings with friendly people. If you want a beach resort, you will like nearby Georgioupolis, a small fisherman’s village which features a large village square with tavernas and cafes and assorted shops. Georgioupolis is especially known for its rich bird and animal life such as turtle river, as well as the sandy beach and great sea bathing along with a large public swimming pool. In Georgioupolis you are always within walking distance of the beach, the square, the tavernas and supermarkets. In short, Georgioupolis is a Greek gem, with a wonderful atmosphere, where everything is close by and where both adults and children feel relaxed in pleasant surroundings. The river running through the town from Lake Kournas to the sea is also a great place to see lots of wild life including turtles. If you need activity such as boating, canoeing etc. we have recommendations such as a trip to Kournas Lake, where there are also restaurants and bars on the lake and traditional gift shops. If the thought of a big charming city with culture and history appeals, Chania is for you, at 33,3 Km away, one of the most beautiful towns of Crete full of life and things to do. While to the east at 31 Km distance you can visit the city of Rethymno and get amazed by the old part of it and the small alleys.The closest beach is 15 minutes driving by car and the airport of Chania is about 45 minutes by car. The old quarter of the city around the Venetian harbor has a wonderful atmosphere with its many old buildings and narrow streets. Enjoying lunch sitting outside one of the many tavernas on the harbor is an experience you won’t forget. This is one of the best place in all Crete to relax and if you really love nature and want to enjoy the magic of a quiet landscape, this is the place for you! Renting a car from the airport or a scooter from Georgioupolis is advisable, but a Taxi is also an option. A rental car is a must, or you can hire a taxi to and from the villa at around 13 EU each way, from a friendly, reliable family run company. I can give you details of both.
