Bethesda - Y Fron Isa - Snowdonia - Zip World
Welcome to converted chalet located at the bottom of our garden at the foot of the Carneddau Mountain Range in Bethesda. It contains a brand new small kitchen with all basic utensils, pots, pans, kettle, toaster and electric hobs. We also supply tea, coffee and milk. The bed is a SOFA BED. It is a stones throw away from the famous 'Zipworld' (15 min walk) as well as the Glyderau mountain range(10 / 25 min ), and a short drive from Snowdon (15 min). Perfect location to experience Snowdonia. The chalet is located at the bottom of our garden. Newly converted it is the ideal location for exploring all that Snowdonia has to offer. You’re more than welcome also to use our spacious garden. Parking is a problem in the area but not at Fron Isaf where you will have your own parking bay. The front garden is available weather permitting. We are available for any questions and look forward to welcoming you to Bethesda. Bethesda is a vibrant working town. The Penrhyn Slate Quarry, now home to Zip World, used to be the largest Slate Quarry in the world, employing up to 3000 workers at its hight. Today the number is far lower and tourism has become more important. Nevertheless the spirit of the village and its Welshnes lives on in its residents. The George (Y Sior) is a 5 minute walk from the property. Serving locally brewed cask ales and a warm Welsh welcome I would recomend a visit. If you choose not to use the newly installed kitchen in the Fron Isaf there is ample choice of food available on the high street and nearby. Ranging from take aways to resteraunts. Bethesda is a haven for walkers. Close to all the major mountain ranges of Snowdonia and within walking distance (literally a couple of minutes walk) of the Carneddau mountain range. Buses also run all day from Bethesda through Nant Francon towards Cwm Idwal and Llyn Ogwen and Capel Curig amd Betws y Coed. Parking space is provided with the accommodation. Bethesda attractions i.e. Zip World, Carneddau mountains are within walking distance or a short drive. Why not add to your experience of staying in Snowdonia by throwing in a guided walk in the mountains. A friend of mine in a qualified Mountain Leader (fully insured and with and up to date first aid certificate and DBS) and is offering guided walks for individuals and groups around the stunning landscape of the region. He has great knowledge and vast experience of exploring the surrounding areas. His experience includes hill walking, mountaineering, scrambling and has completed the the Wales 3000 challenge twice. You will be staying just below the foothills of the Carneddau and Glyderau mountain ranges during your visit, only 20 mins drive from Snowdon. So why not throw in the ultimate experience. Please get in touch and i will pass on his details for you to discuss things further.
