The Old Coalhouse at Ty Newydd

A cosy country cottage and a warm welcome awaits you at Ty Newydd. Situated in the picturesque Towy Valley, only 5 miles from the Brechfa mountain trail, 30 minutes from the beach and 1hr.15 from the Cardiff city center. A perfect spot for long country walks, cycling or just to simply relax in front of the log fire. Ty Newydd is over 150 years old and bursting with character, it is situated in the picturesque village of Llanfynndd with the river sannam running through it. Recently extended and refurbished in 2018 originally the coal house the room is a double en suite attached to the main house. It is decorated in a unique style which represents the rest of the house and the owners. Guests will have their own en suite room and are very welcome to use the kitchen and one of our 3 lounges Llanfynndd is a picturesque village surrounded by farming and beautiful countryside. It is 11 miles from Carmarthen town with great history and shopping facilities. There is a local pub serving food and a 15 minute walk takes you to Pant Glas Hall where there is a restaurant and a coffee bar. It is essential that you have your own transport as the local transport is very sparadic.
