Cosy rural retreat in the beautiful Lot valley

La Chaumière, a cosy little gîte nestling in a secluded peaceful garden in the heart of a 13c walled village, on one of the many routes to St Jaques de Compestelle. A wood burner adds to its charm. A well stocked épicerie and boulangerie is just a 10 min drive away. Walking, cycling, wine tasting and fine dining all abound close by. A great place to relax, unwind and enjoy the beautiful views which surround this ancient village. Situated at the end of the village overlooking the village green and free tennis court, to the forest beyond, La Chaumière is in a perfect private spot.Whilst my house is close by, I totally respect your privacy. No other immediate neighbours but literally only a couple of minutes walk into the village. All the lower garden and garden area immediately outside La Chaumière including, of course, the pool in summer. I'm on hand to offer help and advice as and when you need it, I can cook dinner for you one evening if you wish. In the summer months I run a small coffee shop in my barn, so light lunches and delicious cakes available all day. If you'd like to go wine tasting I'm happy to organise it for you and also to book restaurants on your behalf. A glass of wine shared together in the garden is always on offer too!!! Lovely walking all around. Cycle paths signposted around the vineyards. Markets locally on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Cahors 45 mins drive away. Fantastic market on Saturdays. Great restaurants &cafes. Lots of sights to see. A great day out. So much to see and do, just tell me what you fancy doing and I will do my best to help! A car is a must. If you want a night out without driving I'm sure I can help. I will Introduce you to the village and the surrounding area and all it has to offer. To maintain the charm of this property there is a new wood burning stove for heating. Free basket of wood on arrival then available to purchase. My dogs are well behaved and won't bother you, but if the gate is left open they will run off and not come back for hours. I'd appreciate it very much if you could remember to keep it closed!!!
