Newly and lovingly restored thatched cottage in beautiful countryside on the banks of the River Lambourn. Tranquil. Superfast broadband. Loungers on request View onto river from cottage Good walking nearby Car advisable New to Airbnb, this is a characterful and traditional riverside cottage, retaining the original doors, windows, cupboards etc. Solid oak and pine floors, restored oak beams. All new appliances and bed. South facing with sheltered cottage garden, flower borders, lawn and table for eating out. Arriving from the east, park at the first house on the right in Weston village. From the west, we are near the last house on the left in Weston village, RG208JB. The gravel parking area is on the north side of the road by Weston Mill (small sign). Access is by FOOT ONLY, over gravel for 50m and by path for 50m. Walk through the 5 bar gate next to Weston Mill. Go straight ahead for 70m, and over the river footbridge. It is the FIRST thatched cottage you come to on the river, with a rose arch at the end of its garden path. We live next-door in the middle cottage. Please don't knock on our other neighbours' doors! Internet connection is very good here I can give you my mobile number. Note that mobile signal is poor here. (We use wifi-calling) I find communicating through the Airbnb app works well I am very happy to discuss any info about the area We live next door so are available re any queries We are open to discussing bringing a well behaved dog but we would like to discuss this before the booking is made The small village of Weston is 15 mins by car from the towns of Hungerford, Newbury, Wantage and Lambourn, in the West Berkshire countryside. The cottage is on the Lambourn Valley Way footpath. Close to the cottage are water meadows, marshland, fields with grazing ponies, corn fields and parkland. Small garden to the front of the house. Flower borders /lawn and table and chairs to eat out. Loungers on request It is also close to beautiful walking country around Brightwalton, East Garston, Lambourn and The Ridgeway There are country pubs (with food) nearby (2 walkable from the cottage) Parking on gravel area at road The staircase in the cottage is steep. Unfortunately the cottage not wheelchair accessible.
