My traditional cottage is set in the middle of the delightful village of Boat of Garten situated in Speyside near Aviemore. It is bursting with charm, cosy and comfortable. It has a very large secluded garden with various areas to relax. Cottage is situated on Speyside way in middle of the delightful village of Boat of Garten. It comprises an open plan lounge/dining room and kitchen. Open fire with logs provided but definitely no smoking indoors please. Kitchen is fully equipped with range cooker, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and additional fridge freezer. Two large bedrooms, one with kingsize and one with twin beds, a log burning stove serves both rooms centrally. Large bathroom with shower over bath. There is a piano in the hallway for guests to play if they fancy! There is an annexe to the rear used only for storage which is not accessible to guests. Large secluded garden with decks and furniture. Bbq available. Plenty space for parking. Cottage nicely decorated for Christmas and New Year with tree etc Full access to cottage and garden, nothing shared with others. Small annexe at rear of cottage used by owner for storage only. Guests can access cottage independently but I live nearby and will interact as much or as little as guests desire. I can advise on all aspects of local interest/facilities and on most of the highlands too. Boat of Garten is a lovely peaceful highland village perfect for nature lovers, birdwatchers and dog walkers. The River Spey runs through village and offers fishing opportunities. The Cairngorm mountains can be seen from the garden and offer endless walking/cycling opportunities with winter sports like skiing, snowboarding and excellent ski mountaineering. Facilities nearby include a wonderful local shop, excellent restaurant, hotel with bar and restaurant, cafe, gallery, top class golf club, cycle shop and steam railway. Regular service bus to Aviemore and Grantown on Spey. Bikes can be hired in village. Area is excellent for cycling,walking, canoeing but there are regular buses, taxis and steam train journeys. Main line train station at Aviemore and Carrbridge with services to Inverness and rest of Scotland. Cottage is 100% non smoking
