Check out my personal guide book. 1/3rd of any profits will go to the Help the Heroes charity. (Website hidden by Airbnb) It's convenient for all the independent shops in Horwich, plus numerous charity shops. As well as Rivington. It has a sizeable shed, which you can lock mountain bikes/scooters in safely. There is a quiet small children's park 5 minutes at the end of the street and a playing field. Two of the charity shops were rent a video shops when I was growing up and I always hired Annie and sang my heart out. (Website hidden by Airbnb) 🧡🧡🧡🧡 Back gate with sizeable yard area. Clear, wide back street suitable and convenient parking /play space for children. Smaller pretty gated front garden with potted plants and hanging basket. There's a intruder alarm and all the doors and windows have double glazed dead/barrel locks. It has a new boiler and central heating system. Available for questions via phone, email and social media. Family and friends available locally for any immediate emergency or advice / tour guides. One love : stone roses (Website hidden by Airbnb) Quiet street, regular visits from horse riders along the street. Established neighbours and community links. There's a local premier shop within a minutes walk on the same street, which is open daily until 9pm. I think that the view of the pike from this street is the best in Horwich, it’s spiritual especially after it has rained, it glimmers like an emerald in the sunshine. At the end of the street, close to the park, look up at nighttime and it’s like Jerusalem or Lindos, with the glittering lights. It’s was on this street that I bumped into my school friend 2 years after leaving school. He signed up with the army 2 weeks after leaving school, aged 16. He was home on leave from his first tour of duty in Northern Ireland. It was a beautiful sunny summers day and we agreed to write to each other, but we never did. Life got busy. # proud. Driving is probably the best way to arrive initially. There are close by bus stops and the nearest train stations are Blackrod plus Horwich parkway, followed by a taxi or bus. Walking and cycling is perfect to get around when you get there. The 575 Rivington Bus (from Bolton and Horwich) is gradually getting more use - it's every Sunday to the end of October, every half hour (.00 and .30 from Bolton) It uses the normal 575 route to Old Lords Estate then goes up Lever Park Avenue through Rivington and back via Millstone to Horwich. All normal concessions valid. (Website hidden by Airbnb) Tell me what you want to improve your stay and I will try my utmost to make your stay as perfect as possible. Usual concessions apply, NHS staff and key workers, just ask💙. It's a mini version of the Lake District, without the tourists, high prices and rubbish. Being introduced to Rivington is like finding a Unicorn. Please be energy efficient with the water, electricity and gas, switch off the lights, turn the temperature down a little and be kind to the environment, collective responsibility makes a big difference. Local action, Global impact.
