A warm modern mews cottage within the centre of the village close to the pub, village store, church and Millennium Green. Clean light and airy, entrance hall, cloakroom, fitted kitchen/breakfast/dining room with integral appliances, freezer on request. Separate rear sitting room with countryside views, French doors opening to sun deck, steps down to enclosed rear garden with patio. The first floor, 2 double bedrooms, master ensuite shower room, a single bedroom and family bathroom. A lovely cosy property, feeling warm and welcoming. It's the view from the rear of the property that we love the most, a tree covered hillside that glows in the evening light. The River Sid forms the property boundary, and provides a soothing background, along with the sound of woodpeckers and owls. Guests will enjoy the whole house together with the sun deck and rear enclosed garden plus the use of a private car parking space. In addition there is a further communal lawn, adjoining the River Sid. We live within half an hour drive, and are on hand in an emergency. Sidbury is an attractive vibrant village dating back to Saxon times, complete with church, manor house, public house, village store/butchers, public space with pond called the Millennium Green adjacent to the cricket pitch. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, countryside walks are available from the door, lying on the East Devon Way and Sid Valley Ring, popular walking routes. The village is easily accessible, lying between the market town of Honiton and the Regency coastal resort of Sidmouth with its attractive esplanade and beaches. Sidbury serves as an excellent base in which to explore the whole of East Devon and into neighbouring Dorset, popular picturesque coastal towns and villages only a short drive away to include Budleigh Salterton, Branscombe, Beer and Lyme Regis. Sidbury is on a bus route, number 9 The bus stop is a 2 minute walk. Regular service available to Sidmouth, Honiton, Seaton and Exeter. The nearest railway station is Honiton ( 6 miles) There are bus connections and a taxi rank. This the main Waterloo to Exeter line. Nearest airport is Exeter International (11 miles) The village has a free public carpark, 5 minute walk if bringing extra cars. The property has one dedicated parking space. The communal lawn is bounded by the River Sid. The property garden itself is fenced and secure for children and dogs.
