Hidden Gem with private garden area

This hidden gem is located only a few steps from "Parc Aime Vallat" where you can take a leisurely stroll around the River Vincou and take in the stunning views. You can also relax at the local cafe/bar which is a short walk across the river. Bellac town is a ten minute walk uphill where you can access bars, restaurants, cinema, theatre, public pool and supermarkets. The gite is newly renovated with open plan kitchen/diner/lounge with a pretty twin bedroom with ensuite shower room. Access to the gite is through the pretty garden that you can have sole use of during your stay. Whilst there is no washing machine in the gite the owner can arrange use of a washing machine in the main house. WIFI is available in the garden area. The owner lives in the main house and will be readily available for any problems or guidance as to local amenities and attractions. Bellac has its own Tourist Office where you can find more information on what is happening in and around Bellac and where you can also buy a fishing licence for your stay. You can also access free wi-fi in both the Tourist Office and the Library. Bellac is a great town to use as a base to explore many pretty villages, towns and places of interest as well as lakes, one of which is the fabulous Lac du Saint Pardoux (30 mins drive). The lake offers many activities such as sailing, paddle boarding, wake boarding and water ski-ing with sandy beaches, ideal picnic spots and a superb indoor swimming pool. If you are interested in World War 2 history, then you may wish to visit Oradour sur Glane. Bellac has a train station where you can catch a train to the City of Limoges - approx 40 minutes or other destinations such as Poitiers. There is a good bus service to Limoges and beyond. The gite is located by the River Vincou and you can walk uphill into the town via the ancient quarter and the beautiful Notre Dame Church. where you can take a moment to catch your breath and take in the stunning views down to the river and its surroundings.
