Nestled in the little Welsh village of Bryncrug within The Snowdonia National Park and down the end of a working farm track, The Old Bakery is only minutes drive from beaches, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and of course incredible mountains. And the star gazing is magical! Attached to our family home but with your own private entrance, newly fenced decking area, garden area and covered hot tub. The Old Bakery is a very tranquil place to stay. One bedroom (double bed), with small double click clack sofa bed in conservatory. Moses basket & Stand also available! Conservatory with dining area that overlooks your garden area with access through bifolding doors. This area is a part of our garden but is private to you. Living room with wood burner and smart TV. Fully equipped, brand new kitchen and bathroom. Private decking and garden area. Private hot tub! The Old Bakery is an extension of our home so we are as available as guests need us to be. Bryncrug is a lovely, quiet little village on the edges of Snowdonia National Park, only 2 miles from the coastal town of Tywyn with a beautiful beach and town with lots of local amenities, and is also one of the best places in Europe to see dolphins. The Talyllyn railway is lovely! It goes from Tywyn. So it’s only a 10 min drive to get there. There’s a lovely cafe on the platform as well that does great breakfasts. (Website hidden by Airbnb) They have a little museum at the station as well and a shop. There’s a really old style local cinema called The Magic Lantern. They have a garden area that serves cocktails. Some nice restaurants in Tywyn…Proper Gander & Salt Marsh Kitchen. And The Retreat cafe. They do nice pizzas and cocktails. Aberdovey is 15 mins away. Lovely beach. Couple of nice places to eat. Seabreeze and coast deli dining. Dolgoch falls is also about a 15 minute drive away. Absolutely stunning place. Lovely walk up the river with various falls and little areas to have a picnic and paddle in the river. There’s a little cafe at the car park as well that opens at 11 each day We are also only 20 minutes from Cadair Idris, an impressive mountain with a summit height of 893m with some fantastic walks and incredible views of the surrounding mountains of Southern Snowdonia. There’s an amazing lake half way up. Barmouth is about 40 mins away. Beach, restaurants, shops, amusement arcade and funfair. Dolgellau is a beautiful old market town and is 30 mins away. Lots of nice pubs and restaurants. Best coffee for miles! Machynlleth is also 30 mins away. Pretty market town. Independent shops and restaurants. Quite a few pubs. Lots of antique shops. CAT (Centre for Alternative Technology) is not far from Machynlleth. (Website hidden by Airbnb) Various seasonal events and a place to visit and explore. Corris craft centre (Website hidden by Airbnb) Lots of independent crafty businesses selling items but also offering workshops. King Arthur’s Labyrinth and coal mine tours onsite too. Great for kids & adults! Coed y brenin is about 40 mins away. Stunning walk through a forest with river and waterfalls.
