Converted Barn nestled in the Welsh countryside

An 18th century converted barn situated on the outskirts of Penyfai village. The famous Glamorgan Heritage Coast is a 10 minute drive offering endless outdoor pursuits and historic castles. The seaside town of Porthcawl is a 15 minute drive in the opposite direction which is a very popular destination for tourists with its blue flag beaches, golf courses and lovely bars and restaurants along the promenade. For those who like to shop McArthur Glen designer Village is a 5 minute drive away. The barn is a warm inviting place to stay with open plan living to ground floor which is great for entertaining and family gatherings. The kitchen has a four oven Aga with a large island, a separate dining area which leads to the lounge that has a wood burner and has 2 sets of bi-fold doors that open out onto both the courtyard and rear gardens. The master bedroom has an en suite, wood-burner and French doors which lead onto the lawned garden is situated on ground floor with the remaining 3 bedrooms (one with en suite) and main bathroom on first floor . The garden is walled and very private , the chipping drive has plenty of parking spaces followed by a courtyard which leads onto lawned garden . There is a sunken trampoline outdoor furniture , a barbecue and fire pit. Guests will have access to all the Barn and garden but the fifth bedroom will be locked with some of our personal possesions in as this is still our home but if this room is required we could make this available at an extra cost. I will be available when guests visit , via phone . The barn is accessed via a 400m tree lined drive way which ends at the electric entrance gates. The property is situated in the country side and is only a 5 minute walk from the small friendly village of Penyfai . The village has all the usual amenities including a pub, church village store. There is also the Court Colman Manor Hotel which has the award winning Bokhara Indian restaurant and an award winning Indian restaurant. Bridgend train station and main bus station is a 5 minute drive and a local bus stop at the end of our lane. A cycle path is easily accessed.
