Forres Eco-Annex near Findhorn

Self-contained studio guest space with separate entrance - part of Eco-house in 60 acre private woodland. Sleeps two to three (double loft bed and single 'day bed' converting to double). En-suite shower room. Kitchenette equipped for preparing simple meals (two plate hob, microwave, fridge) with welcome/breakfast pack provided. Use of wood fired Eco Spa hot tub by arrangement with hosts (priced at £40 use on one day, £65 use over two to three days - payable privately). Own transport required. Our self-contained guest space, adjoining our warm, light and comfortable eco-house, is available to rent. The annexe, which has its' own entrance, is self-contained comprising a small kitchen area equipped for basic meal preparation (including a fridge, microwave and 2 plate hob), an open plan living/sleeping area and an en-suite shower room. The room is strictly non-smoking. The room has a double loft bed and a day bed, which can be a comfortable single or double bed. Guests are expected to self-cater, but a generous welcome pack is provided including milk, bread, fruit and cereals. The house is an ecological design, built 10 years ago, situated on our own 60 acre woodland. The location is tranquil, surrounded by wood and farm lands but is within easy reach of Forres (3 miles), Elgin (15 miles) and Inverness (25 miles). The famous Findhorn Foundation and Community are a short distance away - Cluny College 1 mile while the Findhorn Park is 6 miles. The house is not easily accessible without own transport. Guests should take note of directions provided in the location after booking is confirmed - the sat nav is not accurate to this location. Guests have their own separate entrance, with access to the garden and surrounding woodland. The laundry facilities (washing machine, dryer) are in the host garage, which guests have access to. An outside washing line is also available for guest use. There is additional freezer space for guest use provided in the garage. We are a friendly family and enjoy conversations with guests, but we like to respect each other's privacy. Moray has much to offer. The area is surrounded by beautiful beaches and mountains and is rich in outdoor activities and is also part of the 'whisky trail'. There are historic sites and National Trust properties nearby to explore, for example Culloden Battle Fields, Cawdor Castle and Brodie Castle. For those in search of cultural entertainment both the Universal Hall at Findhorn and Eden Court in Inverness host a variety of shows – theatre, cinema, dance and music. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. You will need your own transport to get around. This is a family house. Although you are in your own separate area, it is adjacent to the main house, and you may be able to hear us moving about in the kitchen and so on. Otherwise it is a very quiet location.
