Shepherds huts Scottish Borders The Rubersview hut
You are very welcome to stay in our lovely shepherds hut in Minto. It lies in a secluded large garden with stunning views down the valley . The hut is warm and beautifully furnished with antiques and quirky items . Sleeps two with a shower room near. Remember we have a fantastic similar hut in the same grounds, if you are a party of four why not rent two huts together and make the place yours. There are shepherds huts and Rubersview huts , this hut is completely unique furnished with vintage and antique objet d'art and situated in the Teviot valley with fantastic views down the valley and across to the extinct volcano that Is Ruberslaw . The hut is warm with electric heating and stove , the hut has running water , comfy bed, cooking facilities , books and games, local information , decking with garden furniture , Private shower and loo close by. Tea and coffee are also available in the hut . Remember Clean towels and bedding included . Other items in the hut Tea towel Coffee, tea and sugar Pans , plates and utensils . Bowels and crockery Gas BBQ Plus a charcoal BBQ ( though guest is advised to bring charcoal . Strictly no BBQs or fire pit on or near the veranda . Wood for Firepit is available and costs £10 a sack Please bring firelighters, sometimes there are some left over from the previous guests. Picnic area Stunning views! The best in the Borders . Well behaved dogs are welcome, there is a £10 extra charge per day for up to two dogs, ( payable upon arrival ) this covers extra cleaning of muddy paws and hair . All the grounds, private parking and as there is no trespass law in Scotland and we have the right to roam then guests are encouraged to explore where ever they like . Fantastic scenery, great walks , ancient border history from the Stone Age settlements to the Victorian Scottish romantic poets . Good local pubs with real ales and home cooked foods, right to roam , golf course next door, good fishing 1 mile away . Great bus service and local taxi firms . Train from Tweedbank to Edinburgh only 15 minutes away. Local to us we have fabulous eateries and places to visit . Places that might be useful .
