Holyrood Shepherds Hut is situated in a 100 acre working farm, in a peaceful spot, 5 minutes walk to the famous Gold Hill and the centre of Shaftesbury, which has a variety of independent shops, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants. There are many attractions close by and the beautiful Dorset coast is only 45 minutes drive. Brilliant for a weekend break or for longer if you are keen to explore what Dorset and Wiltshire have to offer. Inside, the hut is cosy and warm with all the facilities you need for a relaxing break. The balcony means you can sit outside and just watch the day go by. We will always be contactable by phone or text in case you have any problems during your stay. There is plenty to do in Shaftesbury with its independent shops, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants. There is also a museum and Abbey and during the warmer months - an outdoor pool. For those wanting more, Salisbury is a 40 minute drive - with its famed cathedral. Why not make a day of it and explore the beautiful Jurassic coast. Bournemouth and Poole are about an hour away. If you are a keen walker, this is a great place to come as there are a number of walking routes to choose from. The nearest train station is 15 minutes drive away, in Gillingham.
