Woodside Cottages - Beech cottage (Self-catering)
My place is a pair of single-storey cottages converted from a former farm building on a small farm - Ash and Beech Cottage. Please note that the bookings calendar shows when one or other of the cottages is booked, not necessarily both. Please contact us if the dates you require appear to be booked and you only require one cottage. Our minimum stay is 3 nights. Discounts for a month or more. Please check prices with us before booking. The cottages have step free access with their own parking. The accommodation is self-catering with all essentials provided to make your stay as comfortable as possible, We can provide high chair and travel cot if needed but ask that you bring your own bedding for the travel cot. We now have Netflix and upgraded TVs. Sorry, no pets or smoking allowed. No parties, large gatherings or additional guests to stay. The cottages are self-contained and away from the main farmhouse. The cottages are adjoining and there may be guests staying in the other cottage. You will be advised how to gain access to the cottages once your booking is confirmed. We are usually only a phone call away if you need help. There are electric gates to the farm entrance and you will be given a code that will give you access during your stay. This information will be communicated to you close to your arrival date. We change the codes regularly! Down Street is a quiet lane that runs between Piltdown to the South and Nutley to the North. To the east and west are the villages of Fletching and Maresfield. The nearest towns are Uckfield and Haywards Heath. There are plenty of walks and cycle routes, although it can be hilly! We are close to Ashdown Forest, Chailey Common, Sheffield Park, the Bluebell railway, South of England Showground, Glyndebourne, Historic houses and gardens, the south coast (Brighton and Eastbourne), with plenty of family-friendly activities nearby. 30 minutes from Gatwick airport. You will need your own transport. We are 30 minutes from Gatwick airport and the nearest train stations are Buxted/Uckfield. Haywards Heath station is 20 minutes by car and has fast and frequent services to London (via Gatwick) and to the South coast. The cottages are in a rural location so you will need your own transport as there is no bus service on Down Street. Please be aware that there are dogs, cats, horses and chickens on the farm. We ask you not to feed the animals.
