Kiwi House Truck in the magical Okuti Garden

Our classic kiwi house truck called 'Bronwyn' sits amidst fruit trees, overlooking the pond in the beautiful Okuti Garden. Lovingly crafted wooden interior, cosy and well equipped, Bronwyn invariably provides occupants with a really really good night's sleep. Shower and basic cooking facilities and wifi on board and loo nearby. Bronwyn is part of Okuti Garden. A small Eco-stay set in 4 hectares of tamed and untamed gardens. Awaken to the sounds of bell birds, tuis, kereru and the gentle buzzing of the New Zealand bush. All guests have access to the gardens. The use of the garden kitchen, surrounded by pick-your-own culinary herbs, a rowing boat on the pond, games marquee with table tennis and table soccer, a sand pit and trampoline for the little ones, the use of a studio with art box and games and even a pot belly stove for cooler days. We have couple of very friendly donkeys, kune kune pigs, sheep, chickens and a dog. Depending on what you want Okuti Garden can either be a very sociable place or quiet, contemplative and peaceful. Set in 4 hectares there are plenty of quiet secluded spots to read and dream in. Previous guests have called it a magical place. Others have likened it to Hobbiton. Just 4 kilometres from Little River. An interesting small village with cafes, art gallery and craft shop. A great base for exploring the amazing Banks Peninsula. We are just 45 minutes from Christchurch and only 1 hour from the airport. Buses run daily to Little River and we are very happy to pick you up or drop you off. Note: we have ponds, so take care with children. We have Wifi but no TV.
