A detached, rural barn conversion, welcoming multiple pets, on a medieval farmstead, presented to a very high standard. The private front garden is a morning sun trap, fully enclosed. Underfloor heating & cosy woodburner (1st log basket free). A peaceful place amidst fields and trees, reached via an unmade farm lane. 1.5 miles from Okehampton, with the facilities of a small market town. Our location is an oasis of tranquility. Children 8 years & over. 2 pets free- extra pets £25 each per stay We are pleased to be able to offer guests the option to book a spa treatment in the cottage during your stay (provided by a third party) from a fully qualified local beauty therapist. Prices for an hours treatment, eg hot stone massage, aromatherapy massage, are £49 (prices correct at 2021). If you would like to book a treatment please let me know when you book the cottage. Dreamcatcher is an open plan barn conversion. The main accommodation is on the ground floor, with low door thresholds (one shallow step at the back door) and wide doorways, so may be suitable for those with limited mobility or walking difficulties. If you would like more information please contact me and I can provide a link to our accessibility statement. There is an extra space on the mezzanine which can be used for an additional guest (futon bed) or for just chilling out, doing some yoga on the mats provided, reading - whatever takes your fancy. There is a low beam up here and restricted head room, so please mind your heads! This area also has a chest of drawers, bedside cabinet with reading lamp, enclosed hanging space and full length mirror. You will have the entire cottage and enclosed private front garden. The car parking is directly outside the back door. For EV charging there is a fast charge point just 5 minutes away at the local garage as you leave the A30 en route to the cottage (80% charge in 15 minutes). The sunken garden to the rear of Dreamcatcher is for the enjoyment of Dreamcatcher and Moonseeker guests as well as ourselves. We don't allow pets in this area as the pond is very deep. We will greet you either on arrival or shortly afterwards to make sure you are happy with everything, and answer any questions you may have. After that, we leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday, but if you want to come and talk to us we are on hand and happy to help. Webber Hill Farm Cottages, of which Dreamcatcher is one of 2 cottages, is a non-working farm in the countryside, surrounded by fields of sheep and cows, and lots of birdsong! Great for nature lovers, walkers, cyclists We have some amazing cycle paths in the area including sustrans national cycle route 27 (The Tarka Trail and Granite Way form part of this), The Camel Trail, Drakes Trail, The Tamar Trails, and the bridleways on Dartmoor. We would recommend a car as the nearest public transport is in Okehampton, although you can easily pick up a taxi from the town to get to us (about £5 one way), and if you are a keen cyclist we have an undercover area where you can leave your bikes. Our nearest railway is Exeter St Davids, and there is a bus service to Okehampton from there. The nearest airport is at Exeter Please note we cannot accommodate electric vehicle charging at present, due to supply capacity. We are located on the furthest edge of the historic village of Sampford Courtenay, just 1.5 miles from Okehampton market town. The approach to us is about 200 metres down an unmade farm track (belonging to another farm), which truly feels like you are leaving the hustle and bustle behind. We have a Waitrose in Okehampton and they will deliver to the cottage. If you want to go to the nearest pub in the evenings, but don't want to drive, there are many taxi companies in the area. We can help with suggestions for where to dine - pub, fine dining, vegetarian etc, and which ones accept dogs. There is a comprehensive information folder in the cottage (with postcodes for sat nav) The nearest amenities are in Okehampton town, including Waitrose, Co-Op, Lidl and lots of cafes, antique shops, museum, cinema and leisure centre. There are dog walks from the door, along the lanes which are quiet, and you can walk to the woods if you wish (about 20 minutes walk). Dartmoor is about a 5 minute drive away, the nearest village being Belstone. Please note our pet charge of £25 per pet if bringing more than 1 pet. Pets must be kept on leads at all times when leaving the cottage (even if it is just to the car) out of respect for our pets, wildlife and other visitors. Please also note that we do not allow pets on furniture or beds. We provide throws but please bring plenty of clean ones of your own if you think this may challenge your pet.
