Very spacious private guest suite with one private bedroom, (extra fold up bed available for third person for $20/night), shared laundry, food preparation area. Located within Jindalee, 12 ks from city centre, 2 minute walk to city bus stop, 2 minute drive to freeway to north and south Queensland. Within 10 minute drive to Brisbane’s iconic tourist attractions- Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, Brisbane Planetarium, Brisbane Botanic Gardens and Mt Coot-tha Lookout. Shopping strip within 2 minute walk Located in a very quiet area of Brisbane, immaculately clean, bright, airy, newly refurbished under house spacious guest suite with private entrance. Fully air-conditioned, includes one private bedroom, extra fold up bed for third person if required ($20/night extra. Please give advance notice if required), leather lounge suite with 2 recliner chairs, wall mounted large screen TV with free Netflix, dining table and chairs, fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board, computer desk and separate bathroom. For cooking there is a microwave, electric wok, single electric cook plate, toaster & kettle. If you're a bird lover you'll love this location which is abundant with birdlife and you can watch the birds feeding in the backyard most mornings and evenings. You have a private entry door with access to the entire guest suite so you can easily come and go as you please. I’m happy to interact with guests and offer advice about the local area, tourist destinations and travel information when needed. Brochures about Brisbane and surrounding areas are also available. I live upstairs and when away from home I can be contacted by mobile phone. We are located in a quiet well presented area with friendly welcoming neighbours. If you are a golfer or just want a nice meal out, there are 3 golf clubs within a 5 minute drive. If you like the movies the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre boasts 13 movie theatres and is located within a 10 minute drive or a 20 minute bus ride. We are situated with easy access to the Western freeway that takes you to the city, airport and M1 motorway that heads north and south out of Brisbane. There are dozens of restaurants, cafes, hotels and fast food outlets within a 5 minute drive. A 2 minute walk will take you to the local shopping strip which includes 2 cafes (both open for breakfast daily) , bakery, Thai, Indian and Vietnamese restaurants, newsagent, Food-works supermarket, chiropractor, hairdresser, liquor store, fish/chip/hamburger take away. Within a 2 minute walk there is a beautiful well treed park situated right on the river with a boat ramp. On week-ends its well used for picnics and entry to local walking tracks. Jindalee is well serviced by city council buses leaving every 30 minutes outside of peak hour which will take you to the city heart or to local shopping centres eg. popular Mt Ommaney & Indooroopilly shopping centres. If you travel in peak hour buses leave every 15 minutes. To catch the bus to the City use the bus stop outside the local newsagent and on the same side of the road. The bus number is 453. The bus to return home is the same number and can be accessed via the City Mall on platform 2. There is no train service to Jindalee. The nearest train station is at Oxley. If you enjoy walking, the Mt Ommaney shopping centre is a 25 minute walk or it can be accessed via a 5 minute bus ride. To catch the bus to The Centre use the bus stop next to the nearby pedestrian crossing and on the opposite side of the local shops. If using any public transport you will need to purchase a Go Card available from the local newsagent. Uber is a great way to get around too. You can download the Uber app to your smart phone. No visit to Brisbane would be complete without using the CityCat. This is a City Council catamaran that runs up and down the Brisbane River fro. The University of Queensland to North Shote at Hamilton near the Cjty end. A full round trip will take 1.5 hours and is a wonderful way to see Brisbane from the river. To use the CityCat service drive to Guyatt Park and leave your car in the free Park n Ride car park. Walk towards the river to the CityCat terminal to catch your ride. CityCats run every 15 minutes to and from the City. To view all public transport timetables visit (Website hidden by Airbnb) If you do not have a car, taxi costs are expensive in Brisbane so it’s cheaper to use Uber taxis. If you are arriving at the airport catch the Airtrain to the city centre. Then catch a bus from the Queen Street bus station to Jindalee Place, just a short 2 minute walk to my home in the same street. While in Brisbane make sure you catch the CityCat from Guyatt Park in St Lucia to take you to the city and our beautiful Southbank which has night markets on Friday evenings, and all day Saturday and Sunday. The river trip on the CityCat is a real treat!
