Catering to all levels of skiier the skiing options are exceptional; with the added benefit of access to the Verbier slopes in one hour on skis Very well equipped home with 5 bedrooms; all have their own shower or bathroom. This 3 floor chalet self catered chalet provides a well structured layout with the middle floor solely for living and eating and socializing. The upper and lower floors have 3 bedrooms and 2 bedrooms respectively. Les Collons & Veysonnaz offer fantastic summer camp options for children ranging from 5-17 years of age. New this year Aläia Bay and Aläia Chalet are also offering innovative summer camps for children - Alaia Bay is the new talk of the Alps with their Surf wavegarden in Sion, and Alaia Chalet over in Crans offering a skateboarding option - hugely exciting and a great alternative for families. Why not spend the Summer working from home and have the children spend some much needed time outdoors challenging themselves on mountain bikes and living the childhood dream of summer in the mountains and at camp. There are numerous areas that guests can retreat to; either in front of the wood burning fire place or the living room to take advantage of the outstanding views or in the separate television / media room. With full wifi throughout the chalet, a 49' LCD television in the media room with a PlayStation and blue ray DVD player, together with a Television and DVD player in the master bedroom and 2 Harmon Kardom Bluetooth speakers the chalet provides guests with plenty of media options. Very well equipped kitchen with many of the latest gadgets plus one and a half ovens, N'Espresso machine, warming oven, nutribullet, raclette machine, fondue set, induction hob, dishwasher, coffee machines, etc. The large laundry / utility room contains a washing machine and separate dryer together with drying space and a very useful second tall stand alone fridge/freezer for guests use. An opportunity for you to bring all your provisions with you and relax into your holiday time. The boot room located next to the garage is incredibly practical offering guests a large storage area to store ski boots (on the heated boot racks), hang and dry wet jackets and store numerous shoes and boots. A child's high chair and cot are available and the chalet is very child friendly. During the summer the outdoor furniture comes into its own and long lunches on the terrace are very special. There is 1 large outdoor sofa on the balcony, plus 2 large comfy outdoor chairs where reading a book or drinking a glass of local wine become hugely enjoyable! Guests have full access to the chalet and garage and exclusive use. We are very familiar with the area and and are happy to connect you with the summer camps, ski schools, ski rental shops and we can recommend restaurants and activities. We can also organize some housekeeping including cleaning and pre arrival shopping should you need it. Please remember plenty of notice is required and this is not guaranteed. The Valais is renowned for the large number of sunny days and indeed this is reflected in its reputation as a prominent wine growing region. The summer months are joyful with fresh produce abounding and rows of fruit trees and vines flourishing. Outdoor enthusiasts are spoilt for choice. Mountain biking on the hundreds of marked trails, hiking, rock-climbing in Saxon, walking along the ancient picturesque irrigation systems - "les bisses", tennis, the zip line at The Dix Dam, foot golf at Nax, traditional golf in Sion, Verbier and the world class course in Crans Montana. Not forgetting the vast array of activities located at Les Isles including the rope climbing course and the new Alaia Bay Wavegarden surf centre. The small swimming lakes during the warm summer months are a perfect way to spend the day. Alternatively, take a trip to lake Geneva only an hour away or simply stay closer to home and enjoy the walking along the Bisses (irrigation channels). The weekly farmers market in Sion on a Friday provides ample opportunity to explore the capital of the Valais and a medieval town. The expansive 4 valleys offers proficient skiiers and families alike an incredible terrain to ski at high altitude. The ski schools provide excellent ski tuition with English speaking instructors. With the world famous Piste de l'Ours only a five minute drive away the options for skiing are second to none. A short 5-10 minute drive from the chalet and there are the options of 5 ski lifts to transport you to the main ski area of Thyon. Verbier and the wide expansive slopes is fully accessible to chalet Maridadi guests. Taking good/intermediate skiers just over an hour to ski (or drive) via Siviez to Verbier, you will find yourselves in one of the worlds most prestigious and top ski resorts. Thyon and Veysonnaz ski schools together with Neige Aventure ski school ensure children and adults have plenty of options for lessons. Lunches on the slopes in winter include the famous Swiss fondue, and raclette. Sion is a pleasant and accessible 20 minutes from the chalet. Sion is located on the mainline Milan to Geneva train route Geneva is a 1 hour 45 minute drive. Zurich is a 3 hour drive. Milan is a 3 hour drive. All are very accessible by train from Sion. Please note that winter tyres are essential in the high winter months. Please note that during peak winter ski weeks (including Christmas and New Year and UK half term/European Carnival week) there is a 7 night booking policy and at all other times a 4 night minimum please.
