Esme's Escape - Luxury Shepherd's Hut

Our multi award winning Shepherd's Hut is tucked away in the South Somerset village of Haselbury Plucknett. The decor is inspired by a 1940's land girl called Esme. The Hut is located on the Parrett and Liberty Trails and so perfect for walkers. Within a few hundred metres is a fab foodie pub. The Jurrassic Coast is a half an hour drive away and we are surrounded by many picturesque vilages. Our Glamping experience is perfect escape from the COVID 19 outbreak. COVID-19 precautions: We have sourced sanitising canisters which enable us to safely changeover in a safe and fast manner. We can to greet you while maintaining a social distance and will provide all our advice, hints and tips on a tablet which you can watch/read at your leisure. We feel sure you will find Esme's Escape a perfect sanctuary away from pandemic updates and stresses. We aim to make your stay not only comfortable and cosy but also luxurious. Super soft bedding and egyptian cotton bathrobes to lounge in after a hot shower or relaxing in the hot tub. Outdoors we have a log fired Hot Tub (there is an additional charge for logs @ £5/bag, payable during your stay), a chimnea and a log fired pizza oven/BBQ to enhance your glamping experience. You have your own access, parking and garden which is self contained, and contains a covered outdoor seating/dining area, your break will not be interrupted by us. Our house neighbours the Hut and so we are usually around if you need assistance during your stay. Haselbury Plucknett is a small village in South Somerset. The hut is in Church Lane, so close to the church and we have neighbours. The White Horse pub is a few hundred metres away and serves delicious meals. We also have The Haselbury Mill just a mile or so from us and another locals pub in the neigbouring village, around 2 miles from us. So there are a few options if you want to walk to a pub to eat. Nearby is the old market town of Crewkerne where there are many local businesses, antiques shops & cafes, as well as restaurants and take aways (including Chinese, Indian, Kebab, Fish&Chips & Pizzas). Shops include Waitrose and Lidl. The Southwest rail network comes through Crewkerne, otherwise travel is by car, or the occasional bus, we are quite rural. A taxi can be arranged to collect you from the train station. As well as a very comfortable bed and luxurious bedding we have a mini kitchen for you to use. A belfast sink, mini fridge, induction hob with kettle, pots, pans & toaster. We also provide a krups nespresso coffee maker, and frother, along with assorted coffee pods and tea bags for your use. In the bathroom is a flushing toilet, electric shower & heated towel rail, toilet rolls, towels and starter bottles of shampoo etc. Ingredients are provided for your first breakfast which will include locally sourced sausages, bacon, eggs, bread, milk, juice, butter.
