Peaceful 2 bedroom log cabin on a private nature reserve five miles east of the Ashdown Forest in the High Weald area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Self contained cabin with private garden and dedicated parking. Guests are welcome to take walks on our reserve which has an abundance of bird and wildlife. Surrounded by beautiful countryside with numerous local attractions and 10 minute drive to Lewes with its culture, bars, restaurants, antiques and shops. Nestling on the south side of the Ashdown Forest, on the edge of the village of Isfield, this traditional log cabin lies within the owner’s 200 acre reserve / farm. Cyclists, golfers and walkers are well-catered for, with an abundance of footpaths locally. Nearby golf courses include Piltdown, Royal Ashdown in Forest Row and the East Sussex National at Little Horsted. Take a picnic and enjoy the opera at Glyndebourne, visit the glorious Sheffield Park Gardens and Wakehurst Place. See Charleston Farmhouse, the home of Vanessa Bell and the Bloomsbury set, and enjoy their literary festival during May. A variety of village pubs can be found nearby offering quality food and local ales. A 20-minute drive takes you to the beautiful South Downs National Park, and Brighton with its cosmopolitan bohemia, traditional seaside vibe and an opportunity to venture aboard the British Airways i360, the worlds tallest moving observation tower from which you may be able to spot the Isle of Wight. The more genteel Eastbourne boasts a pier and a marina from where a boat trip gives a different perspective to viewing the white cliffs and iconic Beachy Head. Plumpton races, Sheffield Park House, The South of England Showground and The Bluebell Steam Railway also make for a great day out. I live on the farm and I am always available on my mobile via call, message or email. Car or bike essential, as there is no bus service through our village Parking for two cars only No pet cats Dogs by prior agreement only
