Blue Heron Cottage on Crooked Lake

Rest, relax and soak in the sun this summer at this lovely two-bedroom lakefront cottage. With a large deck and screened-in gazebo overlooking Crooked Lake in Italy Cross, the cottage is just one hour and 15 minutes from Halifax and approx. 20 minutes from some of the finest beaches in NS. Spend your days lounging just steps away from the lake, throwing the ball for the dogs or BBQing with the peaceful hum of the country as your soundtrack. The cottage has an open concept kitchen and living room with a large deck that is perfect for BBQing. The kitchen, which was recently updated, includes a microwave, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker and kettle, and is stocked with condiments. The large main bedroom features a king bed with plenty of space for luggage or a pack n play for the kids. The second bedroom has a queen bed and has a washer/dryer combo in the closet. The dog days of summer and brisk nights can put a damper on any vacation, luckily the cottage is equipped with a heat pump for your comfort. We want our cottage to feel like your home. You are welcome to use all the amenities the cottage has to offer, including two individual kayaks and a stand up paddle (SUP) board. The lake gradually slopes to a drop off, which is perfect for swimming access. In the off chance of rain, the cottage also has a 50” Smart TV, a selection of DVDs and board games, access to your Netflix, highspeed internet and great cell coverage! No need to worry about bed linens or towels, these are supplied as part of your stay. The cottage is dog friendly and there is a three night minimum rental period for the months of July through to Labour Day weekend, weekly rentals are available. We don't live nearby but will always be a quick phone, text or email away. A key code access to the cottage will be provided upon checking in. You are 20 minutes from the beaches: Crescent, Rissers and Green Bay, as well from Petite Reverie Winery. The Rails to Roads path is accessible 2 km away.
