Come and experience a taste of London in Gippsland...Whether you have lived in London ...have holidayed in London..or have always wanted to visit. A super comfortable Queen bed fit for royalty,a lovely Pot Belly to make even the coldest of nights warm and snug.A view of the beautiful green Strezlecki Ranges,lush green pastures.Peace and quiet and privacy will make for an idyllic getaway. Perfect for couples or a family to relax and unwind. Situated in West Gippsland...The London Cottage was in its original form part of the Darnum Musical village. There is a split system to keep you warm in winter and cool in summer, electric blankets. There will be an abundant supply of wood for the pot belly which will be replenished each day. There is a gas barbecue on the verandah during the summer months. This is the perfect space for couples looking for a romantic getaway... just enjoy each other’s company! There is also a sofa bed which can be used for additional guests. The kitchen has everything you would need.. all cooking utensils, dishes ect , a Coffee Machine, plus tea, coffee, sugar,milk and basic pantry ingredients/items. The Cottage is charming, comfortable and very relaxing ! Guests have access to their own private front garden,back verandah/deck and garden plus the large Village Retreat Park/Garden which has many areas to sit and relax. I really enjoy greeting and meeting my guests. I am available and contactable at all times and can answer any questions that you may have. I will be happy to assist you with ideas and information on places to visit, dining out etc. The key can be left for you if you would prefer to check yourselves in. I will be available by text / phone call or personally at any time during your stay if you require. Darnum is a small country farming town set in the rolling hills of West Gippsland..Less than an hours drive to : Mount Baw Baw for the snow ( Tobogganing,snow boarding,cross country and down hill skiing) a great place to visit all year round. Inverloch for the beach. Walhalla has an Historic Tourist Village, well worth a drive. Mirboo North is a great place to visit, 15 minutes drive from the Village Retreat and there is a Boutique Brewery where you can sample and purchase their beers. Mount Worth National Park is 15 minutes away also and is very picturesque, a wonderful place for a bush walk or to explore/relax. Lardner park is 12 mins away and is Gippsland's premier Exhibition venue with events there most weekends. The Darnum Hotel is walking distance...1 km away..very nice food,a great ambience and very close !! Darnum also has a General Store/ Tearooms Cafe which has great coffee and a great place for breakfast in front of the fire. Post Office/Petrol Station all just 1 km away !! Warragul is 5 minutes away and has a Hospital,many top quality Restaurants and Wineries..a variety of places to shop...everything you require...and a great Golf Course. Yarragon is 5 mins away in the other direction and has tourist specialty shops and many cafes. Darnum has a bus service which runs into Warragul (5 mins away) and from Warragul there is a VLine train service. Darnum is the centre of the West Gippsland cyclists group.... a wonderful place to have a bike ride. Bring your bikes,there are some great bike trails in the area. CLEANING The Cottage will be thoroughly cleaned between stays using highly effective and stringent methods recommended by AIRBNB and the Australian Health Department. Because of this I am no longer offering same day check-ins. If it is mid week then contact me and we can work something out. The Retreat Cottages and Church are completely separated and have their own private areas.
