Our newly renovated weavers cottage dating back to 1800's, situated in Dalton-In-Furness less than 10 miles from the Lake District National Park and on the edge of the Furness Peninsula is perfectly located with a multitude of activities and attractions. It is the perfect stay for anyone ! On the doorstep of restaurants , quaint pubs, family run shops. Dalton the ancient capital of Furness. It has great transport links, train, bus are minutes away , and on street parking. Dolly May’s Located on the edge of the Lake District. A two bedroom cottage built in the 1800’s modernised bringing it into the 2100 century with modern specification throughout but still retaining elements giving it a cozy cottage feel. It includes an open plan living dining room with electric log effect fire, 42”TV with fire stick . WiFi, fully equipped kitchen with large fridge freezer, dishwasher,leading to a private rear courtyard. Upstairs has two bedrooms, one with double bed and the second with two single beds. All with white hotel bedding. Beautiful 4 piece bathroom with walk in shower and separate bath for those who want to enjoy a soak. The open upstairs landing has its own seated dressing table/ work station. Guest have full use of the cottage and outside courtyard. We like to give our guests space. We are available for questions by phone, text. Dalton in Furness, historic market town, located ideally to explore the lakes and Furness peninsula and all it has to offer. Closes to sandy beaches and Lakeland fells. Walking 0.5 miles offers views of open country side. For walkers , ramblers, cyclist, golfers the worlds your oyster. South Lakes Safari zoo is a short walk. The town has its own leisure centre, pubs, restaurants and takeaways. Ulverston a market town and the birth place of Stan Laurel only a 10 minute drive, and is also on the bus/ train route for those that don’t want to drive. In the opposite direction is Barrow in Furness with the dock museum and its maritime history. South Walney nature reserve. Owl sanctuary. Lots more attractions include everything Lake District, Steamers, Aquarium, Lakeland Motor Museum, Muncaster Castle, La’al Ratty to name but a few. Easily accessible by car, train or bus within 5 min walk or less. Local taxis available.
