Sipa's Hide Out - A cozy and serene holiday home

A serene private cottage overlooking the valley. This newly built property is very cozy with excellent amenities and offers mesmerizing views from the cottage. The cottage located in a gated community overlooking Kurunji Andavar temple, Villpatti and Attuvampatti villages. The property is a two storeyed with an open lush green grass lawn on the side and back of the property. The location is great for anyone who wants to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and spend time with nature. The property is located within a gated community which offers uninterrupted views of the valley surrounding Vilpatti and Kovilpatti villages. The property is built with exposed wire cut bricks both on the outside and inside giving the property a charming rustic european look. The landing floor consists of a reception hall, a glass conservatory and an open balcony. The hall is of decent size with a sofa and a TV for guests who don't want to enjoy the views. The hall leads to beautiful glass conservatory which offers uninterrupted views of the valley. The glass conservatory has a six seater sectional sofa and is a great place to unwind yourself after a busy day of siteseeing (or) read a book in the day (or) take a quick nap enjoying the views. The conservatory leads to a small open balcony. The balcony has 2 seater dining table to relax under the sun whilst enjoying the views. One end of the hall has stairs that lead down to the basement layer. The basement layer consists of an small hall, kitchen and two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Both the bedrooms are equipped with queen size beds and a wardrobe. One bedroom has whole wall made with glass doors enabling guests to enjoy the views of the valley from the bed. There is also blackout curtains in this bedroom incase you decide not to be woken up by the early morning sunlight. One part of the hall opens up to a outdoor dining area with a wooden garden bench. Our favourite place to have breakfast whilst enjoying the warm sun light and views of Vilpatti Village. The kitchen is fully furnished with 4 gas hobs, a chimney and 2 conventional ovens to prepare a roast or grilled dinner. Ask the host, so we can give you instructions on how to use the oven if required. There's also a microwave for quick heating of food. A fully automatic front loading washing machine is available for long stay guests. We also have a bumker bed which can be used if your group size is more than 6 people plus there's extra sleeping options using 2 sofa's in the upper floor. The kitchen offers great views overlooking the valley. There also a balcony in the basement floor which is great to enjoy the sunrise with a glass of coffee. The balcony has stairs leading to next layer of the house which is a massive glass lawn and garden. One end of the grass lawn features a wooden fire pit to make campfires and spend the evening on non rainy days. If you decide to have a bonfire, please contact the host in advance so we can arrange for wood to be bought beforehand which will be charged extra. The guests will used the main entrance to the property and the caretaker or myself will use a private room attached with the property which has its own private entrance. As there's few construction happening in our neighbourhood, we request you to drive a bit slowly once you are inside our gated community. Our gated community has we'll cemented roads but it's steep hill. There's street parking all along the street. The property is located in a street with no thorough access . This is great as there's less disturbance from other cars travelling around. Since its a private newly built gated community, you will need to travel about 1 km to get to the shops or take a bus to go to main kodaikanal town. Shopping for all needs are available within one km range at Vilpatti and Attuvampatti villages. If you decide to have a bonfire at the garden on non rainy days, please contact the host in advance so we can arrange to buy wood beforehand for a nominal fee of Rs.750/night
