Cosy, private B&B rooms in beautiful Heritage home

Built circa 1910 this Heritage listed home is a unique place to stay... loads of character and with all modern comforts. Operating like a true B&B it includes a substantial continental breakfast with 24hr coffee and selection of teas. Keeping Covid safe is high priority and your private lounge, bedrooms, bathroom and verandah are separate areas from my own. I’ll only accommodate one booking at a time so you’ll have exclusive use of these rooms with breakfast laid out in the homes dining room. Included is everything you need to put together your own breakfast with choices of cereals, breads and spreads along with bananas and freshly squeezed orange juice. There is also a selection of teas and pod coffee freely available. If you'd like a hot cooked breakfast as well, this may be available upon request at an additional $15 p/p. Bedrooms 1 & 2 are upstairs and downstairs is the guests lounge which also sleeps two on a comfy innerspring sofa bed. Note: The guests bathroom is downstairs along side the lounge. Supplied is: A selection of teas and Nespresso coffee machine. Bar fridge. Micro wave oven. Glass ware and mugs, cups. Plates, bowls and cutlery if you choose to order a take away meal. Unlimited high speed wireless internet. 2 x TVs for guests use. Bluetooth speaker. Private deck with outdoor setting leading off upstairs bed room. Iron, ironing board, clothes airer, fan, column heater, heated towel rail, portable cot, high chair, child barricade. Extra blankets & pillows for beds and cot manchester. AC in upstairs bedroom , open fire in lounge, guests bathroom has underfloor heating and house is centrally heated through out the winter. Parking is available for one car in the parking bay in front of the house and there is also parking on the road outside. NOTE: Except between the hours of 6am -10am weekdays. Plenty of all day parking also available in nearby cross street, Mildred Avenue. After hours access is available for guests via key safe. As we operate solely as a B&B the kitchen can’t be used for guests to prepare meals or store food etc, although you are most welcome to join me for a chat as I spend quite a bit of time in there : ) * Supplied for guests is a bar fridge, micro wave, Nespresso machine, electric jug, crockery, cutlery etc. You are welcome to use my home office desk for laptop use if you need. If you would like to use the laundry, a gold coin donation, would be much appreciated. I'm happy to have as much or as little interaction as you would like. Situated only 900 metres from Hornsby CBD, rail station and bus terminal, plus all that Hornsby Shire has to offer.... shopping, cinemas, mountain bike trails, tennis courts, golf course, bush walks, aquatic centre, Tafe and Hornsby Hospital. It has details of distances to transport, restaurants and places of interest nearby. It takes about 10 mins to walk the level 900 metres to Hornsby Station. Train into Sydney CBD takes 42 mins (all stops) or 30 mins by express. Hornsby Hospital is about 3 minute drive away. Sections of the Great NorthWalk and trails in the Berowra Valley Bushland reserve are only 1 kilometre away. The beautiful Hawkesbury River is a 25 minute car or train trip. Bobbin Head in the Kuring-Gai Chase National Park, known for picnics, fishing, and boating is a 15 min drive. The Northern beaches are approx 30 minutes and the Central Coast beaches are a 60 minute drive. Nearest golf course is a 5 min drive. Hornsby Mountain bike trails are 1 kilometre away. NOTE: For parents with young children: 2 of the bedrooms are up two flights of stairs (19 steps in total). If young kids are staying please be advised there are no filler panels below the handrail of the staircase, (see photos) and there is also a high balcony and in bedroom 2 upstairs. So if your kids like to climb, this might not be suitable for you. However, I do have a child proof barricade which can be installed at one of the bedroom doors.
