Sweet Cottage in beautiful setting.

For a beautiful relaxed change of scenery come to Woodbury Cottage. Go for long walks, enjoy the many delicious cafes and restaurants in the area or stay in with a good book in the bay window. Watch the passing kangaroos, say hello to the nearby sheep and listen to the amazing morning birdsong. It's also a great base for visiting the beautiful Macedon Ranges. This very sweet little cottage is surrounded by open grassy spaces and tall trees. The birdsong in the mornings is truly fantastic. Kookaburras are often hanging around. In the evenings there is a mob of kangaroos that comes to graze on the grass. You will often hear the skimming of the wild ducks as they come to land on the dam nearby. The interior design is simple and uncluttered, done creatively and lovingly. The cottage is completely yours for your stay! There is also plenty of space around the cottage for outdoor use. Although the cottage is at the end of our very large garden (4 acres), it has it's own driveway and entry, making it completely private. We live up at the main house on the same property but we really leave guests to do their own thing. We can all come and go without even seeing each other! Of course we are always ready for a chat too.... We are in the Macedon Ranges and very close to Victoria's famous spa country. There's so much to do in the area. Fantastic restaurants, pubs, wineries, walks, bike rides (we have bikes you can use...), farmer's markets, galleries, etc. There is plenty of parking space at the cottage. There is also a train station about 1.5kms from us. If you are coming from the airport (about 40mins away) there is a bus that runs 6 times a day into Woodend town. (You do need to book this.) Heating and cooling: A wood fire, reverse cycle heating and cooling plus a portable panel heater. There are electric blankets on all beds. All linen provided. Small kitchen which includes a cooktop and microwave.
