Bombora Cottage, the perfect coastal get away!

This fully furnished beach cottage is nestled in a beautiful protected, private & quiet location only 200m from Shelly Beach. Murramarang National Park is right next door bringing wildlife to your door step! Fishing, diving, swimming, surfing, walking, relaxing on one of the pristine beaches, or just at the cottage, there is something for everyone! It's only a 5 minute drive to North Durras, 10 minutes to Pebbly Beach & 20 minutes to Batemans Bay. Please note linen & towels are not provided. Bombora Cottage is one of the original 1950's holiday houses at Depot Beach. This cute beach cottage has been renovated, add on's made and fully furnished with every need for a beach holiday. The spacious covered deck captures the morning sun and has ocean views through the beautiful rain forest, perfect for relaxing or outdoor dining. Enjoy a hot outdoor shower after a day at the beach and get cosy and warm around the outdoor fire whilst listening to the birds and ocean. With its quiet location, no through traffic, large front lawn and even a tree house, this makes for a perfect child friendly holiday location. Off street parking is available right near the back door, making it easily accessible. Please note that there is no Wi-Fi. Mobile reception isn’t the best and the TV does not get ABC, all other channels are ok but at times these may come and go. We do provide DVD’s and plenty of games, puzzles, books etc but you may want to bring your USB/hard drive with your favourite movies if that’s your thing. The cottage is a beautiful warm cosy option in the winter too, with a split system air conditioner that heats the space up perfect. Extra blankets are provided to ensure your nights are cosy & warm too! The whole house and yard is yours to enjoy! Bombora Cottage has the stunning Murramarang National Park as a neighbour! This brings abundant wildlife to your doorstep. Feeding the birds on the deck or watching kangaroos on the front lawn, you may even be lucky to see the local goanna lizards or spot a snake? If walking is your thing, this area offers many beautiful bush walks and stunning coastal walks. There are top surfing spots to choose from and depending on the swell and wind direction, many options are available. You even have views from the cottage looking directly out to the South Coast Bommie, hence, Bombora Cottage. With North Durras Lake only a 5 minute drive away, this location is perfect for kids, & exploring by kayak or boat. There are no shops at Depot Beach, which makes it nice and quiet so be sure to bring in all your supplies with you. The closest shop is at the North Durras Camping Ground that opens during all peak times and most weekends and offers the basic supplies, cafe with nice coffees to get you going in the mornings and ice creams for those hot days. The beautiful Batemans Bay is a 20 minute drive south and offers many restaurants, shops, cafes and supermarkets. Ulladulla is 40 minutes to the North, another beautiful costal town to explore with neighbouring Milton having plenty of cafes and great shopping available. There are also many day trip options around the stunning South Coast and hinterlands to keep you busy. Depot beach has no public transport so you will need to travel around by foot, bike or in your own transport. We ask guests to bring their own linen for the beds and towels, hand towels and tea towels. All beds have two pillows, doonas with covers and extra blankets for colder months if needed.
