Between the towns of Zafferana and Milo (Catania), in the countryside and in a panoramic position, there is an old winery of the end '800, restructured and made habitable, but still with the charm of a vanished rural world. Our winery is located in a strategic position just a few kilometers from the most beautiful tourist destinations in Sicily: Etna "a muntagna", Taormina, with its history and crystal clear waters of Isola Bella, Catania, with its baroque "Black" and less than one hour by car, Syracuse, the Greek colony pearl of the Mediterranean. In autumn villages around the house organized festival to exalt the food, the handicraft and the traditions of this part of Sicily. The millstone is divided on two floors: upstairs there is the sleeping area with two double bedrooms, one bedroom with two single beds and a cot, a bathroom ( only wc and lavatory) and a terrace with a breathtaking view. On the ground floor, the millstone true: a large room with wooden roof with exposed beams, a fireplace and large wooden press which, until the middle of 1900 was crushed grapes that gave rise to the famous wines of 'Etna. On the ground floor there is also the kitchen, small but full of everything and a second bathroom with shower. In front of the house, in the shade of a century-old pine and two majestic chestnut trees, there is a large open space of over 500 square meters. And behind the millstone a barbeque area with Etna as a backdrop. Our winery is for those who want to relax in the silence and nature, accepting a simple way of life and unaware of some minor inconvenience (the upstairs bathroom does not have hot water, we don't have general heater just fireplace, electric heaters and electric blakets in the beedrooms). However, the geographic location and the quiet, make it an enchanted place where you can spend an unforgettable holiday, taking in full the spirit and essence of Sicily. Whole property: house, garden and wood. We can organize for our guests guided excursion on Mount Etna, tour with a sailing boat from Catania port and wine tasting in pictoresque vinerys. In autumn the small village, Milo, organizes during the week end a festival called Vini-Milo. Every sunday, in october, in Zafferana, take place the "Ottobrata Zafferanese" ( www. ottobr(URL HIDDEN) during this festival the guests can apreciate all the tipical products of this part of Sicily, like honey, wine, cheese and handicraft. Show and exhibitions are also organized during the festival. Other interesting places easy to reach from our location are Mount Etna, Taormina, Alcantara canyons, Catania.
