Casa Bandel is a completely renovated old semi-detached Karst house with a big garden and a swiming pool. The home maintains its original charm and allure and holds up to the integrity of the original style and Karst traditions. During the restoration process the Bandel family followed all requirements of monument protection and maintained and strictly respected the original design and style. The house can be rented only if it is rented as a whole unit. Casa Bandel is owned by the Bandel family for 200 years. During the reconstruction and restoration of the home the family went to great lengths to maintain the original architecture and design but also, carefully and thoughtfully took into account the needs, comforts and habits of modern life. Casa Bandel is intended for those who want a peaceful, and tranquil environment and yet at the same time one can have the ability to have an active holiday with all the many natural wonders nearby. Casa Bandel has three en suite bedrooms with a capacity of max 8 people (In total there are 4 single beds, 1 double bed and 2 sofa beds for four people). Inside the home is a large living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen. The first floor is composed of three main rooms of which one is a smaller bedroom with a double bed. The other two rooms have their own living room with a sofa bed, stairs interconnected with an upper mezzanine with two wide beds. Each of the en suits has its own bathroom with shower and toilet. The garden is especially charming with a beautiful lush landscape. The garden area also has a barbecue place with garden tables & lamp; chairs, and four sun loungers /chairs at the pool. House is not suitable for disabled people. The previous generations of the Bandel family were wealthy farmers and were already settled as innkeepers before the First World War. After the first war, the lord of the family expanded his business. He started with the excavation, processing and sale of karstic stones. After the end of the Second World War newly formed stone excavation company was nationalized, and soon after that the inn was also closed, because the last surviving descendants of the family were not able to manage it. The house endured all the postwar changes and was waiting for better times. A few years ago, the family decided to renovate and restore the home for touristic purposes. But this time as the home does maintain the extremely beautiful design and traditional beauty it is also well equipped for the modern family to enjoy. Casa Bandel can also give you a small taste of agricultural tourism for families and friends where one can go to near by towns, buy local cheeses, homemade prosciutto, explore local wines and grappa, try some local homemade olive oil and even go to Trieste, buy fresh fish and enjoy some pure fresh Farm to Table delicacies. At Casa Bandel you can prepare a delicious meal under the stars in the beautiful garden and listen to the sounds of crickets at night. It is truly a magical place to find some rest and relaxation and avoid the crowds. Instead of the summer hustle and bustle of seaside resorts, here you will find peace and tranquility. Karst is the perfect place for rest and relaxation. You will be able to enjoy reading a book in this peaceful silence, which can only occasionally be disturbed by the sound of tractor or the barking of a dog. You will rediscover forgotten pleasures in long walks across the Karst land sown with vineyards. You will be able to get to know the Karst more actively with cycling, which is already one of the most popular activities in the region nowadays. Our village is an excellent starting point for those who want to get to know the wider Karst surroundings and its sites as per example: Štanjel, Lipica, Lipica, Hrastovlje, Postojna Cave, Ljubljana, the Soča valley and Trenta valley, Kobarid and the First W.War Museum, Trieste, Aquileia and Venice.
