The cosy cottage has recently been refurbished and includes underfloor heating downstairs, a new kitchen, new bathroom and conservatory. This is our second home and not a commercially let holiday cottage. We hope you will enjoy your time there as much as we do. Although we are not on site, we are available at all times via mobile and we have friends locally who will be able to assist you should you need help. *Conservatory - has lovely views up to the mountains and is a great place to sit and read a book or enjoy a drink in the evening. Space to leave muddy boots and hang jackets. *Kitchen has an extendable dining table and comfortably seats all guests. Fridge Freezer, induction hob, microwave, washer/dryer and Nespresso machine. Washing up is done the old fashioned way! *Sitting room with open fire, TV with Netflix and comfortable seating. Wifi box. *Bedroom one with Kingsize bed, drawers and hangers for clothes. *Bedroom two with double bottom bunk and single over bunk. Drawers and hangers for clothes. Views across the front garden and village street. *Bathroom with shower over bath, sink and toilet. Electric towel rail. *Outside large decked area to the front of the cottage and small enclosed back yard which is a sun trap from lunchtime. There are various things you can borrow for the beach such as umbrella, cool box and games. There is a small ironing board and iron available for use. We are always at the end of the phone and we have local friends who will be able to help too. Rising steeply behind the village is Yr Eifl and its neighbouring hills. A granite quarry, Trefor Granite Quarry or the Yr Eifl Quarry, opened there in 1850. Views from the summits, on a clear day, extend to Ireland, the whole of Cardigan Bay, Anglesey, Snowdonia, and the northern mountains of England. The central peak, the tallest at 561 metres (1,841 ft), is called Garn Ganol; the most seaward, and smallest peak, is Garn For, home to the quarry. There is a shop and a post office in the village. A small harbour is home to fishing boats and there is a sheltered sandy beach perfect for children. Trefor sits on the Welsh coastal path.
