Magda's Traditional House

Magda’s Traditional House is one of the most historic buildings in the northern Corfu. Perfect to host families and groups over 4 people (new baby walker, crib and high chair have been added this year), is located in the central of the North, brings all the “must visit” destinations close to each other. It is built on a mountain and it has an ultimate and unique view by its big balcony. It is surrounded by olive groves, the neighborhood is quiet and the people are friendly and warm. This house can accommodate 4 to 9-11 people (2 more comfy couches) and it has 2 floors and an outdoor parking for 4 cars. Perfect for families with children and groups over 4 people. According to our visitors previous comments, we added mosquito blockers and extra floor and ceiling fans since we are not allowed to put air conditioning boxes out of the house. That way you will never feel the hot air from outside! In the ground floor you will find the cozy living room in front of the fireplace, the comfortable dining room and the full equipped kitchen. Anywhere you look, you will feel the air of another time. A time when everything was simple and pure. In the first floor you will find the big balcony, which offers a great view of the village and the green hills that surround it, but also the possibility of dining there. You will also find three of the bedrooms and the bathroom. Two of the 1st floor bedrooms are master bedrooms and the third one has a single bed for one person, but it is still very comfortable. The bathroom has a bath and you will never run out of hot water. In the second floor you will find two other master bedrooms (one of them has the ability to turn into a playroom) and a cute WC. All rooms have been renovated with attention and respect to the house’s history and culture. This is why we have not put aircondition (we are not allowed to) but we put brand new fans above every bed, that work as well! As it has been mentioned Magda’s Traditional House is located to a village. The village is called Klimatia and it’s one of the most beautiful and still loyal to it’s roots place. There are two beautiful springs that you can visit. That’s where people used to wash their clothes and collect water to their crocks almost half a century ago. It is a great relief for the visitors to know that there is a house lady, Maria, living with her family next door, who can do their laundry for free but also can help them anytime with anything they would need. Maria will also be the person who will give you the key of the house and a small welcoming surprise by our homemade products. The most beautiful beaches of Corfu (Paleokastritsa – Canal d’ Amour – Acharavi – Armiros – Kassiopi ect) are within 15 to 40 minutes away by car. Acharavi, which is the Touristic Magnet of the North is only 15 minutes away. There you can find super markets, traditional and ethnic restaurants, cafes, bars etc. The house is accessible by public transportation, but we wouldn’t recommend that option for you. Public transportation through the villages can only bring you troubles if you are not a local. So we recommend you to rent a car by the airport or online. The way to the village is really approachable and easy. The sings will guide you right outside the house’s front door. It’s about 40 minutes away from the city center. The most beautiful beaches of Corfu (Paleokastritsa – Canal d’ Amour – Acharavi – Armiros – Kassiopi ect) are within 15 to 40 minutes away by car. There you can find super markets, traditional and ethnic restaurants, cafes, bars etc. The most important thing for us is to give you the opportunity to create your own happy memories, during your stay here. During your stay we will be at your disposal for anything you’ll need in order to make your stay the best we can. When you arrive we will provide you with a booklet with additional information and services. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to put aircondition boxes outside of the house, so we have provided every room with fans on the ceiling that keep the house in its traditional condition.
