Tremabyn Farm - Family Home Sleeping 10
A spacious former farmhouse surrounded by fields with recent refurbishments carried out downstairs to provide a modern family friendly living space. Oak floorboards, plenty of lighting and a semi open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room. Another sitting room provides a large evening space. Both sitting rooms have log burning stoves. Set in a large garden with masses of parking. Easy access to the major arterial roads through Cornwall. Close to beaches, Eden, Heligan and other local attractions. The house is accessed via a long tree-lined private driveway which is a great space for children to ride bikes / go-karts. Please note that we have some animals. There are two cats. One lives outside and one lives inside. Both need feeding each day. We have two guinea pigs in a hutch in the garden or barn (depending on season). We have recently added 10 hens to our home. They have their own large run and need feeding daily and to be let out of their coops in the morning / closed up again at night. Any eggs would be yours! Plenty of food will be left for all animals. And no cleaning out etc will need to be done. We are offering our family home so it comes complete with plenty of books, games, toys for all ages, DVDs etc. There are 2 large televisions and both have access to Sky and DVD players. The large Entrance Hall is a great space for children to play. There is also a good sized Family Room well equipped with toys and games as well as a large table, sofas, fireplace and television. The kitchen / dining room is well stocked with all the necessary kitchen equipment plus a coffee machine, dishwasher, children’s cutlery / plates etc. There is a downstairs toilet and a utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, plenty of space for coats / shoes and plenty of drying room. Upstairs are 5 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is a good sized bedroom with a king sized bed. Bedroom 2 is a single room with a cabin bed. An additional single mattress can be placed underneath this. This room could sleep one or two children. Bedroom 3 is a good sized sized twin room with 2 single beds. We could also fit a single mattress on the floor in this room if needed. Bedroom 4 is a single room with an additional single trundle bed. This room could sleep one or two children. Bedroom 5 is the master bedroom with en-suite shower room / toilet. It has a king sized bed. We also have a toddler sized mattress and a travel cot available which can be set up in any bedroom. Please let us know if you would like these and which room you’d like them to go in. The garden is about an acre and surrounds the house on all sides. In the main garden accessed from the kitchen door is a trampoline, small climbing frame, treehouse, fire pit and small BBQ. Elsewhere in the garden is a small pond, fruit trees and a small patch of woodland where children can play / build fires etc. There is also a huge amount of hardstanding which is perfect for playing ball or riding bikes etc. A go-kart is available to play with. There is masses of space for a large family!! The village of Lanivet is 5 mins away with a Post Office, shop, playground, fish and chip shop and popular pub. The beaches of the north coast around Padstow / Polzeath etc are around 35 mins away. The south coast beaches of Polkeris / Par / Charlestown etc are about 25 mins drive. Lanhydrock National Trust property is only a few minutes drive along with lovely walks around its estate and neighbouring Respryn. Cardinham Woods with lovely walking / cycling trails is about 15mins away. The Eden Project is about 20 mins drive and Heligan 35 mins. Both are well worth a visit! Bodmin is a few minutes drive away and has several supermarkets, petrol stations, a small high street and a swimming pool etc. The bigger town of Truro with a big high street, museums etc is about 30 mins away. We will be staying close by and we be on hand to meet our guests and offer advice / help as needed. If we are not available locally, we will leave our mobile numbers and have family / friends nearby who can assist if necessary. We may return to the house occasionally (to water the garden in the summer months if it’s hot and dry, or to collect item stored in the outhouses), but will not enter the property at any point. The neighbourhood is incredibly quiet. Only two other houses are nearby and these are seperated by tall trees / hedges. The house is in a rural setting so own transport is needed.
