French stone house

A beautiful stone house right in the middle of a little French village with two bars, a pizzeria, a church, post office and chemist. Just outside the village rolls beautiful countryside, ideal for walks and bike rides. There are many mountain bike trails and walkways all around. The costal town of St Malo is only an hour and a half away and the town of Lorient just 35 minutes. There is everything you could possibly want in the local towns, restaurants and bars and ancient architecture. The house consists of two large bedrooms and a huge attic space ideal for children. The kitchen has all mod cons and the living room hosts a new wood burner, ideal for those chilly French evenings. The entire house is available for the guests. There is also storage next door for bikes etc should you need it. I live next door and I’m happy to give advice on local amenities or just where’s good to eat. Equally I will leave you in complete privacy if that’s what you prefer. The beautiful picturesque town on Guemene se Scorff is 10 minutes drive and is a typical lazy French town. However, the village of ploerdut in which the house is situated has plenty to offer, and that means no driving involved! Northern rural France really needs a car for day to day travelling around but should you wish to have the house just as a base and travel further afield there are 3 airports all around an hour forty five away and 5 ferry ports. There is also rail access to anywhere in France from the town of Lorient which is only thirty five minutes away. Ploerdut is a beautiful small village 35 minutes from the west coast. A sleepy farming village surrounded by countryside and rich history. The town of Pontivy is 20 mins away and has every possible amenity you could wish for. There are local markets in the neighbouring villages and even a small farmers market in ploerdut on a Friday evening where you can buy fresh produce and even freshly baked bread made in a stone oven a stones throw from the house. It’s a whole world away from the busy lifestyle most of us have every day.
